Understanding

Cutting?

I never understood it. You know the whole suicide and cutting thing. 2 of my friends in middle school use to do it. I tried checking their wrists as much as I could. I asked them a lot of questions like why? Or what do you use but the worst one was 'are you crazy'?
I regret asking that one the most, but I just didn't understand. They told me it felt nice and it makes them happy but I just couldn't comprehend how such a scary thing like a knife or blade could give you pleasure so I tried searching it up; I tried the internet, reading books about it, but I just couldn't find the answer until I came to the conclusion that I will never understand it until I go through it. I also found out another thing about one of the girls.......
She was gay, I didn't know until 8th grade but I found out when rumors started to spread...............
