"What time is it?" Louis asked when she finished her pie.

"10.24" Arthur replied. He also had finished his breakfast and was simply staring into the woods nearby.

"So, should we check out Wisconsin High ?" Louis asked and gave a small cough.

"Well, we could." Arthur replied straightforwardly. He certainly didn't comply to the idea. Somewhere in his mind he'd already decided that Juliette's murder was simply a medical case. He hadn't seen Amanda yet, but it wouldn't surprise him if she was kept in a high security ward, aloof from all. That's where mentally disordered murderers go.

Louis smiled weakly and followed Arthur towards his car.

"I'm sorry Miss, the engine isn't in very good shape and there ain't any good mechanics nearby. I'll fix your car by tomorrow. I just need a part. But don't worry, I've ordered it and it should be here by tonight." Arthur explained.

"No problem. Wait, you can repair cars?" Louis asked surprised. Arthur was a great guy. Anything she'd ask him to do, he could do it quite well, though not perfectly. But she didn't know he'd a good hand with cars. Otherwise,  it'd have come handy in many situations until now. Perhaps she should spend some time knowing the guy.

"My father had a garage." Arthur explained and vanished into the SUV. Louis followed him and adjusted the seat belt once she took the seat beside him.

Fathers have a great influence on their kids, right?  After all, it was something related to her past that was driving her towards Amanda's case. This was the one opportunity she'd prayed and waited so long for. Yet she dreaded the thing that had happened years ago. But one can't run from one's past. She'd to face it. She wanted to know if her father was innocent or not. She wanted to know if the person she called father, who destroyed her family in one single night, was innocent or there was someone else behind the veil, the one who couldn't be understood by usual logic, the one who was beyond normal - paranormal.

The moment she'd heard Jason's claim, she was shocked. But she also was scared. But when she almost had decided to run a thousand miles away from Wisconsin to avoid what she'd seen when she's just a kid yet another time, her sense of curiosity stepped in. And that's why, friends, you must never let your wild curiosity loose because, as you'd see now, her one little choice made Louis undergo a series of death-scaring adventures.

Arthur switched on the engine which roared as they went along the narrow roads. It was the same road they'd used last night to come down to the motel. But the scenery now was far better than yesterday's. Since the sun was almost up in the cloudy sky, she could now spot the rich vegetation stretching at the either sides of the narrow road. The growth was so dense that even a minute's walk inside might get you deeply lost. She rested her head on the half closed window while staring into the green. It wasn't a vision she could enjoy everyday in her normal city life. So she was quite enjoying it. Except for when she coughed. The wind helped her condition worsen.

"Miss, what exactly should we look for, once we get in Amanda's room?" Arthur asked. They hadn't spoken much in last few minutes and the tall gates of Wisconsin High could now be seen.

"Um, I don't know. I haven't actually thought." She said wonderingly.

Arthur nodded.

"I think we should go after her diary. Her personal diary." Arthur said.

"She maintained a diary?" Louis asked curiosly. Normally, teenagers have so many things stacked up on their heads that they never plan on wording their life.

"Didn't Jason tell you, Amanda and Juliette went to a literature class?" Arthur asked.

"Right." Louis said.
