The Feeling

Arizona walked away from Callie a little heartbroken. She never wanted to turn this into a bad custody battle but she also didn't want to lose her only source of happiness. Deep down she knew it was wrong because Sofia was also her daughter. Arizona just wanted Callie to be a little scared of losing Sofia, like Arizona was.

• 2 WEEKS LATER•

Arizona had won the custody battle. Callie broke up with Penny and Penny left to New York. Everyday Arizona would see Callie and just feel bad. She knew she was hurting. One night Arizona went online and looked up tickets to New York and bought two. She knew she didn't want lose Sofia but Callie needed her more. Arizona packed Sofia a bag and grabbed the plane tickets and headed to Callie's. On the way there she started tearing up because she knew she was going to lose the two most important girls in her life for good.
Once she reached Callie's place she took a moment to breathe.
"Mommy why are we at Mama's house?"
"Baby did you like Penny?" Arizona asked.
"Yeah I guess, but i wish you and Mama were together again." Sofia looked at Arizona with the biggest eyes and gave her a small frown.
"Well baby remember how Penny left? Well you and Mama are going to go live with her now, ok?"
"What about you mommy?"
Arizona didn't know what to say she was heartbroken but wanted Callie to be happy even if that meant giving up Sofia.
"I'm gonna stay here, with De luca and Uncle Alex, Uncle Owen, Aunt Meredith and everyone."
"But why can't you come with us? Do you not want me anymore?"
Arizona turned around in her seat staring at Sofia.
"Baby don't you ever say that ok? Mommy loves you so much, nothing in this world could ever change that. It's just that Mama needs you and I wanna make mama happy. Don't you?"
"Yeah i guess but i wish you could be with us."
"I know little one, I know. Well now lets go inside and see Mama i know she has missed you very much. Don't tell mama you are leaving yet ok? I want to surprise her."
Arizona then got out of the car and grabbed Sofia's things from the back. She opened the door for Sofia to hop out. As they were walking up the few steps Arizona stopped and took a deep breath. Her heart was breaking and she didn't know if after this it could be fixed again.
Arizona walked the last few steps to the door and knocked. In a few seconds the door swung open to reveal a stunned Callie.
"What are you doing here?"
"MAMA!!" Sofia screamed and ran to her other mother.
"Baby go play while i talk to Mama Ok?" Sofia nodded and ran off to the living room. Callie closed the door slightly but left it open enough to still see Sofia.
"What are you doing here?"
"Our girl is so beautiful and she deserves to have two happy moms, so now what i'm saying is, let's all be happy." Callie took a deep breath, tears threatening to fall.
"Thank you. Thank you." Callie reached forward and hugged Arizona. She felt so relieved. She would be with the woman she loved and her daughter. Yet she would also be leaving behind the woman she used to love, the woman that would give up her own happiness for her. She knew she still loved Arizona but she had to move on.
For Arizona though her heart was breaking, she felt like her whole world was falling apart. She didn't know how she was going to be able to go on without them.
         Arizona leaned out of Callie's embrace and pushed her hair back and looked at the floor. She tried to blink away her tears but they still managed to fall.
"Hey, please don't cry." Callie said and tilted Arizona's head up.
"Thank you. Like you said Sofia deserves to have two happy moms, so please Arizona go be happy." Arizona looked up and just wanted to grab Callie and kiss her but she knew she couldn't. Callie looked at Arizona and pushed a piece of her hair behind her ear. She looked at Arizona's lips and back at her eyes.
"It'll be ok." Callie slowly leaned in and grabbed Arizona's face. Arizona looked up and leaned in too. She felt Callie's lips pressed on hers. She knew it was wrong because Callie loved Penny. Arizona leaned back.
"I'm sorry." Arizona said. She backed up.
"Um... Can you call Sofia please I want to say goodbye." Callie looked shocked. She would've thought Arizona wanted to kiss her. Callie walked inside to get Sofia, she felt a little heartbroken.
