It was dark out and I was grateful for the nice breeze blowing on a warm night in the beginning of June. The New York City streets were busy as always and we struggled to get a cab. "Damn, I should've called my dad and asked for his taxi service company's number." I said frustratingly.

"Kinda late for that now. It's okay though we're not in a rush. We're early as fuck. Plus, it's an hour drive."

"Right." I said smiling. I never understood why but I always loved long car rides. Suddenly, a black sportscar stops in front of us. I'm horrible with cars so I didn't know what type it was. It looked like a pretty expensive one though. The front driver seat window opens and I could not believe who it was. The guy I have been crushing on since freshman year. I never really talked to him except for when he needed a pen and when we bumped into each other several times. Carter Folkner was the perfectest of the perfect in my eyes. Miranda of course has a crush on Carter's best friend since childhood Zachary Miller. Who was sitting in the passengers seat.

"Hey ladies, need a ride?" Carter asked all smooth like. His eyes sparkled from all the lights surrounding us. I noticed Zach staring at Mimi.

"Uh...no we'll just take a taxi it's no big deal." I said stuttering.

"Hold on just a second." Miranda glared at me and whispered, "are you NUTS?! Our future husbands are offering us a ride and you say 'no'?!"

"I'm sorry I never thought I'd say this but I'm nervous about being in the same car with the same guys we've loved since day one of high school for a whole hour."

"Are you girls getting in the car or not?" Zachary said impatient to get going.

"Yes!" Miranda and I shouted in unison. Thank God I didn't call my dad for a ride. I was gonna get a ride from Mr. Gorgeous. As we got in Carter's car I felt like my heart was gonna pound it's way out of my chest from being both nervous and excited.

"Two beautiful girls going to a fantastic party with no dates? That's a start." Zachary said and grinned at Mimi and I.

I grinned as Mimi said, "who said we had no dates? Liz is my date. Right babe?" She wrapped her arm around me.

"Si, mi amor." I said and kissed her cheek.

"Oooh, a little lesbian action." Carter said sounding more than interested. Zachary gaped at us. He was so dumbfounded it was hilarious.

"Calm your trousers guys." Mimi said grinning. I just wanted to burst out laughing. Maybe this car ride won't be so bad after all.

"Wait, are you two really lesbians or...?" Zachary asked finally getting a hold of himself.

"Only for Mimi."

"Yeah, I'm only lez for Liz." Mimi said.

"Oh, good...WAIT! Not good. I don't like sharing." Zachary had a sideways grin that creeped me out.

"Did you really think we were lesbians?" I asked with an annoyed expression on my face.

"I'm just making sure...you never know." I was kind of offended at the fact that for a second Zach thought I was lesbian. I mean, DO I LOOK LESBIAN?! NO!

"Well now you know." I said giving him a sarcastic glare. He giggled.

"Alright, no need to get sassy Elizabeth." He demanded. I just ignored him. You win this round Miller.

"Carter, you don't plan on drinking tonight right? You're my ride back home." I asked even though I believed he was planning on drinking tonight anyways.

"I'm not planning on drinking tonight actually." He assured calmly. Heh, I bet he's lying.

"You're lying like a rug." Zach said making that "what chu mean?" face.
