"What's wrong?" Edwin asked. He had a concerned look on his face. I didn't even know how to feel. What is wrong with my best friend? Clearly something's wrong.

"Elizabeth," Miranda's dad called from behind still walking towards me and his wife behind him.

"Can you just leave me alone. I'm sick and tired of all of you." I said sternly but in a hushed voice. I didn't want to attract any attention to us. The workers would start asking questions too and I just wasn't in the mood to answer any of them. I'm just overwhelmed with everything that's happened. I swiftly walked to Edwin's car, sat in the passenger seat and closed the door. Edwin always hid a spare key in its hiding place. He was inside the building for a few more seconds and then I saw him exit and start to walk towards the car.

"What is wrong with you?" He asked after getting in. "What the hell happened?" I didn't even look at him. I just stared out the window. "Elizabeth!" He yelled. "No wonder I never liked you. You're so fricken unpredictable and crazy!"

"I guess it runs in the family then because you're no perfection. Last time I checked you were the demon of the family." I snapped.

"I told you I've changed." He said sitting back in his seat and trying to calm down.

"Sure, whatever. And you're the only one that gets to change?"

"You know what? I can't take this anymore. I'm taking you home." He started the car.

"What the hell are you doing?" He asked as I opened the door and exited his car.

"I'm getting the hell away from you." I slammed the door and yelled, "ass wipe" I started to walk and when I reached the corner Edwin pulled up next to me.

"Get in the car! If anything happens to you I'm the one who gets in trouble." He yelled out his window.

Then I remembered what Chase said at prom. 'Ill make your life a living hell.' It made me shudder and I stopped walking.

"Elizabeth could you just get in the car please?" He asked nicely. I stood there for a second and then got in the car.

"You don't need to keep telling me what to do you're not my parent." I snapped. He ignored my insult.

"You OK?" he asked. "You look like you've seen a ghost." As if he actually cares...whatever.

"Just get me home." I said looking down. He drove and it was really quiet for a while. Until he had to break the silence.

"You know...I don't want to go back to the way things were before. I don't want us to keep on fighting for the rest of our lives."

"We're siblings. It's in our nature." For some reason I felt safe in his car. I didn't notice it until now.

"Yeah, but aren't you tired of it?" He asked.

"I guess. I-I don't know I guess I'm used to it." I didn't really know what to tell him. I was scared of being by myself. I know what Chase is capable of. He can have something happen to me in my own home. I guess the police that were outside my home 24/7 scared him off. "Where are we going?" I asked when I finally picked up my head and looked out the window. I notice we're far from home.

"Somewhere." He said smirking.

"Oh my god Edwin I swear to god if you-"

"Aye, relax. It's not like I'm kidnapping you or anything..." He had a weird tone in his voice.

"Whaaaaat?!" I said with my voice getting higher at the end. "Oh and I've been meaning to ask you: what are you planning to tell mom and dad if they find out you're in the army?"

"I've decided not to do anything about it. If they find out then they find out."

"Have you gone mad? They'll kill you."

"Yeahhhh, but they'll get over it."

"I guess." I said.

"So," he said. "What happened with Miranda?"

"You know..." I replied frowning. "She crazy." I tried to joke about it even if it wasn't appropriate.

"Uhm, ok?" He sounded confused.

"Where are we going?" I asked him impatiently and changing the subject.

"You'll see."

"No. I wanna know NOW!"

"Quit whining. You'll see very soon."

"Fine." I said crossing my arms.

"Cover your eyes."

"What? Are you serious right now?"

"Yeah. This is not a joke." He had a serious facial expression. "If you don't close your eyes I'm driving you back home."

"Must you be so cruel?" I asked. I was not gonna just throw away four hours of my life in a silly car ride so I covered my eyes with my hands.

"We're here." He yelled.

"Was yelling seriously necessary?"

"Yes, it was." He said yelling again. "You can open your eyes now."

He parked the car in a familiar parking lot behind a small restaurant. After driving for two hours. I don't understand why I recognize this place. We walked in through the back and I noticed a sign on the wall that reads: "Frogeez" with a cute frog sitting on it.

"Oh my gosh!! This is the best frozen yogurt shop ever." I said to Edwin.

"Yeah, I remember when mom and dad brought us here all the time when we were younger and visited aunt Michelle." He smiled and we got in line to order what we wanted.

"Hi, what would you like today?" The cashier asked with a smile on her face. I forgot how nice people were up here in Connecticut.

"I'll have one cake batter frozen yogurt please." I told her with a smile.

"And I'll have vanilla and cake batter mixed." Edwin said.

"Any toppings?" She asked.

"No thanks." We both answered in unison. We waited for her to prepare our orders.

"Your total is $8.50" she said.

"Pay her Liz what are you waiting for." Edwin said.

"Are you serious?" I asked with fro yo in my mouth. The cashier stared at us in a weird way.

"I'm just kidding." He smirked and payed our dues.

"Don't scare me like that again." I demanded while we walked to the car.

"What's in it for me?" He asked.

"I won't punch you." I smiled. My brother started the car and we were off. I was amazed at his skills to be able to drive and eat his Fro Yo before it melted.
