"Hey, Arin!" He slid into the booth across from Dan. He looked really nice. Danny had just put on his usual shirt, ripped jeans, and leather jacket. They didn't look like they belonged together. "You look really nice, Arin." Dan could tell he was nervous, and broke the ice. Arin flushed.
"Oh, uh, you too, Dan! You look really nice too, all the time! I'm sorry!" His voice was shaky. He looked terrified. Dan reached across the table, setting his hand on Arin's.
"It's okay, Arin. Don't worry about it." Arin looked up at Danny and smiled. He didn't know what that was, but something struck Dan like a moving truck and he fell in love.
"You're so nice, Dan. Thank you." Dan smiled back. His hand hadn't moved. He interlaced their fingers. Arin looked surprised, but didn't object.
"It's no big deal, Arin."
