Love Is A Losing Game

Love is a losing game.

Losing who you are with every second you're with him.

Friends say you've lost it but you don't understand,

All you know is that you've got your man.

But who is he and who are you?

If only you really knew,

The woman in the mirror is a stranger to you.

You think of serenity but have no identity,

Once upon a time you said you'll always have your dignity.

But look where love got you.

You're stuck in a battle that could never be won,

But still he remains your #1.

Love is a losing game.

He just wants some fame,

Not to be in the picture frame.

You'll never be the same,

You're too wrapped up in his web of lies.

He lies next to you at night,

But gone in the morning.

Everyone gave you a warning.

Nine months later you're at home with a baby boy saying this is annoying.

You told him his daddy was soaring through the sky,

You know that was a lie.

Every night you cry, cause he never told you why.

Why he couldn't love you?

Why he couldn't tell the truth?

Why he couldn't be a father to your son?

Why did he run?

Was it too much responsibility?

Well you shouldn't have put it in me.

Wait, I didn't stop you.

But I still wanna pop you,

So another fool won't have to.

He looks just like you,

But you don't have a clue

You weren't even there for his first day of school,

Or when he first tied his shoes.

I remember that night you said "let's make it do what it do".

I didn't even know you wanted to come and go,

But I should let you go.

Maybe one day when our son makes it big,

You'll come back and claim him as your kid.

He knows what you did.

He don't wanna be yo kid.

He thinks of you as a donor,

Not his owner.

Maybe you should've calmed the boner.

Now your a loner.

But enough with that,

Son get your backpack.

You don't have time for a snack,

It's time to stack.

Love is a losing game.

Now yo baby boy got fame,

Dad you never even came to one of my games.

But I'll take that pain and gain.
