Kinsley came walking through the door with a hand full of groceries. She was tired from work and these bags were just making it worse. She heard footsteps approaching her. She seen that it was her husband coming to her grabbing the bags out of her hand with his work phone attached to his hip and his Bluetooth in his ear. She knew he was on an important call. Raiden kissed her before disappearing down the hall turning the corner. Kinsley went back outside to her truck to retrieve more bags from the trunk.
"Baby I got you. You can go inside and lay down. You look exhausted." When Raiden said that she lit up. It was like music to her ears, but Kinsley still insisted on helping him take everything inside.
"I really appreciate that, but I wouldn't dare leave you to do all the work. Where's my baby?"
"I'm right here, but our son is upstairs taking a nap." He laughed.
She giggled. "You know you're my baby too," she kissed him.
They finished getting everything out of the truck. Kinsley was in the kitchen putting everything away while Raiden took another call. Sometimes she felt that their work lives took up a lot of their time. They barely had time for each other. Kinsley spent most of her time with her son, niece, work or friends. She walked around the kitchen placing everything where it goes. Her cell phone rung.
"Hey boo," she sung into the phone.
"Hey love." Parker replied. "What you doing?"
"Just made it in from the grocery store. Bryce and I miss you at work. Do you feel any better?" She wondered. Parker was out due to a stomach virus. They missed her crazy and dramatic butt at work. It wasn't the same without the third piece to their trio puzzle.
"I know yall do. It will never be another Parker like me. God only had enough room for me, but as you can see I feel a whole lot better than before." Parker answered. She missed her friends too. She couldn't wait to go back to work. Parker needed a break from her husband and kids anyway.
"You the only person I know that play all year even when you're sick. I see you feeling yourself a little too much over there. Ain't shit wrong with you so you need to be at work bright and early tomorrow."
"Damn I didn't even get a chance to say you were on the phone yet." Kinsley giggled.
"Bryce?"
"The one and only." He chuckled.
"Kinsley you know you should've warned me before adding this under the sea looking creature to our line."
"You know you tried it looking like somebody chewed up and spit you out dust rat. I should've called the zoo to come pick up their escaped pet monkey. You know it ain't never too late to call." Bryce responded in return.
Kinsley burst out laughing at their usual antics. She could never get enough of them. They were her stress reliever. "Ok. Ok. That's enough you guys. I couldn't have asked God for a better set of friends. There's nobody out there in this world that could ever come close to replacing you two."
"And you better not be trying to replace us either." Parker added.
"Even if she tried she still couldn't. We are custom made." Bryce said.
Raiden walked in the kitchen hearing their conversation. He shook his head. He couldn't stand Kinsley choice in friends. Raiden really didn't care for Parker and she didn't care for him either. Her mouth was too smart for him and she always had something to say about him. He wasn't about to listen to another one of their two or more hour long conversations.
