Dragon x child!reader

Chapter 1, Mridul

"Mridul! Mridul! look look I found this!" a little girl said. She was running up to a dragon, a dragon that is her friend. "What is it little one." Mridul said. Mridul is a very white dragon he is as white as snow as the little girl puts it. He also has somewhat long scales and very giant wings. His claws are sharp and long as well but he wont or doesn't hurt anyone and so he makes sure he is careful around the little girl. "I found a crystal a crystal here look see!!!!?" The little girl said in excitement. The girl is only 8 years old and she says that she can take care of herself, but even though she says that Mridul still looks after her like she was just born yesterday. "That is such a pretty crystal (y/n), you do know that this crystal is very powerful, some humans have it for good luck and this crystal does work just for that and so you should keep it little one, for good luck"

"Yay I can keep it I can keep it" (y/n) cheered and jumped up and down in joy. The little girls full name is (y/n) Mila, she got this name from Mridul and he said that her last name meant 'friendly' while his meant 'tender, delicate'. The little girl has (h/l) (h/c) hair and her eyes are very unique as well they are (e/c). Her clothing are of a small red dress and black flats.

(y/n) looked at the small crystal and looked at the ribbons on her dress and so, she asked Mridul if he could cut the ribbons from her dress. "Of course I would little one please stay still for just a moment." And so she did, she sucked in held her breath and snap she heard the little ribbons get cut. She quickly opened her eyes and let go of her breath and she grabbed the ribbon before it flew away. "Thank you Mridul!" (y/n) said happily and she sat down and started to work on her necklace.

   When she was done she put it around her neck and showed Mridul. "Look Mridul isn't it pretty" she said. "It is beautiful little one, now it's time for bed enough with the adventures for today" Mridul said laying down and lifting up his wing for her to get under. She pouted a little but agreed anyways and she takes off her little black flats and she runs to Mridul and lies under his wing. "Good night little one and have sweet dreams" Mridul said softly when the little girl fell asleep.  He kissed her forehead softly and he layed his giant head down making his body look like a protective wall around the little girl.

Ok so I should tell you a little bit about Mridul, yes I know you already know what he looks like and how he acts and what his name is, but i'm going to tell you a little more about him. Mridul is a very dangerous dragon. He is the most dangerous out of his species mostly because he is the last white dragon in the world. He has been ever sense the dragon slayers has killed his family 500 years ago. 

He was only 5 when it all happened...

"Mother! Mother! I found something I think it is what humans call a clock here look" little Mridul said giving his mother something. Indeed it was a clock but a clock that stopped working. "Oh dear boy it doesn't work anymore so it has no use now go and throw it away you know you can't have human things it is forbidden." His mother said giving back the clock to him. He grabbed it from his mother's hand and looked down at it. It was a clock that stopped at the numbers 4 and 9. He did not know what the numbers meant, he also looked at the little arrows that was pointed at the specific numbers. He noticed the big one was pointed at the 9 and the short one was pointed at the 4. He didn't know what it meant and so he didn't bother wasting his time on it.

So he did what his mother asked and he threw it away somewhere. After that he heard strange noises. he looked around to try and find what it was but then everybody started to run and scream or roar. His mother suddenly stood up and she looked panicked. Sense Mridul is so small he couldn't see anything. So he started to get scared he didn't know what was going on, But then he seen them. The humans....THEY  WERE HURTING HIS FAMILY. He tried to run to help his family but his mother grabbed him and she started running the other way. 

"Mother you are going the wrong way, we have to help them please!" Mridul said squirming in his mothers grasp. "I'm sorry but we can not help them child it is to late for them." His mother said while she was starting to get ready to fly. Mridul looked at his family while he was on his mothers back. They were all fighting for their lives but what he noticed is that nobody was trying to help each other. He started to cry when he noticed some of his closest friends were either getting killed or captured. 

He then heard his mother cry out and she fell to the ground while he was holding on tightly so he didn't fall off. He let go of his mom and he ran to the front of her but then he seen a horrific sight. His mother was getting stabbed multiple times in the stomach and her limbs. He had wide eyes and couldn't move he didn't want to believe what he was saying but he had to; his mother was getting killed. He then known what he had to do but he didn't want to. He ran away as far as he can and away from the commotion.

He hid for a very long time waiting and waiting he waited and endured the agonizing minutes. He heard the screams of his friends of his cousins and his brothers and sisters. He waited because he knew his mother would want him to hide and wait for the danger to go. He waited and cried for minutes, hours. But then all the screaming stopped everything stopped. So he got out of his spot and regret it right away. All over was the bodies of his family, he then started to cry again he was walking for a very long time but then he seen his mothers body. 

He ran towards her and he crouched down to her face, he seen her lifeless eyes and cried even harder and hugged her large neck. "MOTHER PLEASE I'M SORRY I'M SORRY" He cried out over and over again. He was there for hours refusing to ever move. But he then noticed that he had to and so he did. He remembered about the little thing that he found and he got up and walked to were he threw it. He found it and it was still in good shape but still didn't work. He grabbed the chain that was on it and he put it around his neck and he flew off to where ever but all he knew is that he would NEVER go back to that place EVER.
