I wipe my forehead then jog the last quarter of a mile of my run before stopping for a drink. My phone buzzes and I take it out to find a text from Moises saying,
'Wanna go out for dinner tonight?'
I smile to myself and reply with,
'Sure, I can go at 6?'. Putting the phone back in my pocket and my circular water bottle on my wrist, I begin the walk home. I pass shops packed with the morning's customers, and the sweet scent of doughnuts fills my nose.
Fumbling for my keys, I unlock the black front door to my apartment. The hallway still smells like Jaden, and I sigh. Closing the door behind me, I slip my shoes off and dump my keys on the counter.
"Moises?" I call. No reply. He must be out somewhere. I check my phone again but he hasn't replied yet so I put that on the counter too. I head into my bedroom and grab a fresh cream towel. I walk into the bathroom and shower. Afterwards, I wrap my hair in a small hand towel and wrap my body in another. I walk out into the hallway and freeze. Moises turns around and almost jumps out of his skin.
"Brooke?! Oh my god I'm so sorry, I didn't know you were about to come out!" I laugh awkwardly, trying to cover up my blushing.
"It's ok Moi, but umm could you move out of the way so I could get into my room please?"
"Oh sure, sorry" Moises awkwardly moves and tries to avert his gaze while I walk past. I rush into my room and close the door, leaning against it and breathing quickly. Thank god it wasn't... worse. I feel my cheeks reddening even more as I realise what just happened. I quickly dry, get dressed and get ready to go out later.

Hi guys! I just wanted to say that I know this chapter is short, but if I make them shorter I can get them out to you quicker and keep this story going a lot easier, and it's a lot easier for me to juggle studies & writing then :)
