Chapter 2

VanBisson Manor House

" Alex... WAKE UP " I rarely ever hear my mum shout at me, but she always seems to lose her temper when it comes to waking me up on a Sunday morning " Alex... wake up or you will be late for your school trip." at the mention of " School Trip " I'm was out of bed in a flash almost knocking mum over, I was out onto the landing, and dived into the bathroom and slamed the door behind me with a " thwack " forgetting that's what really ticks mum of " ALEX ". What can I say.

" Hay Alex " I turned around to see Maroony HayWater running down the path towards me. Her long flowing hair as white as snow and her skin an olive skin colour, really makes her stand like a saw thumb, plus you can't blame her, she was simply born this way. " Hay Alex, do you mind if I walk with you?" " No, not at all." " Thanks a million " " No prob ". Now with my faithful companion by my side we made our way to the local school bus station.

Now, let me tell you a little secret, I have a crush on Maroony Hay-Water, shes just so ...HOT. If I was any older I... well you get the idea. Most of our school mates looked like they were there, so we might of been the last ones. " All right children get into pairs please" I have always liked Miss Hope-land, she is always nice to us and treats us like adults.

VanBissons Manor House stood on the tallest hill in our area, its black Walls and dimly lighted windows gave me the creeps. It looked like something out of a horror movie. The house was surrounded by a series of tomb stones, each I'm assuming belonging to each member of the VanBisson family. Each had a rose engraved in gold in the centre of the tomb stone, the most logical explanation was that its the family crest.

The school bus pulled into the badly looked after drive way, The gates stood proud and tall, even with its rusty black frame, the name "VanBisson" was displayed in a perfect semi-circle on the top of the gate.We piled out of the bus, savoring every puff of breath air, heavenly compared to the stuffy bus. A man stood, dressed in black from head to toe, even his eyes seem to be as black as his clothes. "Welcome " he said, he suddenly looked very old considering his voice was young and sprightly " Welcome to VanBisson Manor House, I will be your guide for today, any questions or quires, come straight to me...shall we go in?"

It might of just been me, but as soon as I entered the house I felt a chill run its way up my spine makeing me feel extremely uneasy. " You all right " John asked, his voice was breaking so unless I was looking right at him, I wouldn't have known that he had said it " Yeah I'm OK.... just .... oh it was nothing just forget it ". John and I have been friends since the first time we ever set foot in our first school, we always had each others back.

The atrium had high celings, in what seemed to be in a shape of a dome. Its walls were heavly embroided in what seemed to be the story of our creation, it was decorated in elaborate paintings, they were surprisingly distinct considering every inch of surface was covered in a thick layer of dust.

" This is what used to be the Atrium, everything that entered or left the house had to go through here, even though Baron VanBisson was a untrust worthy man he still, still didn't trust his youngest daughter Sandra VanBisson. She was the youngest of his three children, beautiful and kind, but lies and Ruthlessness got the better of him, clouding his visions and treating his daughter as if she was another maid in the house

So he decided to disgard her completely, giving her the smallest room, the ugliest of toys and the most tattered dresses he could find. The painting behind me is the only painting we have of Sandra in her nicest of clothes she happened to own." Behing him hung from the the ceiling by two long peices of chain, hung a picture of the most beautiful girl i had ever seen. Her skin was flawless and smooth and as pale as snow. Her long black hair framed the delicate features of her face, her dress was nothing compared to the beauty of its owner, with simple inbrodery of gold and red, hung from her slender body. " Shes beautiful " Marooney said. There was a thin line of envy in her voice.
