I lunged at my prey, but right as I was about to reach them, something knocked me sideways. Whatever it was, it was strong. I got up and bared my teeth, but lost my attacker- as well as my prey. The humans had fled in fear.
Suddenly, a voice talked in my head! It said, "Please. Calm down."
I shook my head, and tried to shut it out. I opened my eyes, and saw a shadow near the remains of the strange broken object.
I pounced in that direction, sure I had hit my attacker. But right at the last second, it disappeared. I looked around, confused.
"Please don't make me do this!" the voice said once again. I growled, unpleased with this situation.
Then, another figure appeared, next to the other one. There were two!
The new figure had a coat of ink black fur, while the original had a copper-like shade of brown. Both had a confident stance- a warning to not attack again.
I stared at them. They were both female. And they were both wolves- just like me.
"Come with us, we can help you!" they said. Part of me wanted to go with them, because they were wolves, like me! But they had also fought me, which made them enemies.
"I don't need help!" This time, I answered, directing my response at them. I slowly crept forward, this time making sure not to do an obvious open attack.
Once I was close enough, I jumped at the brown one, snapping my jaws onto her front paw.
"Aaah! Nightclaw- help!" she screeched, her voice full of pain.
The other one slammed into me, this time the flinging me into the wall, which cracked on impact. Finally, I lay defeated on the floor.
They shifted to their human forms, and before I passed out, my eyes locked with the eyes of one of them. They were inhuman, and full of color- I recognized them immediately.
They were Lily's.
