Changed into black sweats and a tank with my coleslaw hair in a bun, I laid on my bed staring at the ceiling. I wanted to push showering off till tomorrow around 10 or 11. Willis says that at 9 everyone has to go to a "get to know your classmates" activity. Then at 10 there is a "special class", and that the showers would be unoccupied then.
She also informed me that the co- leader, Nora, wanted to talk to me tomorrow after lunch. Great! Freaking great! I'm not even here a day and I'm already being sent to the office.
Willis pocked her head in through my closed bedroom door ans gave a sly smile. "You know what time it is," she sang and stepped into the room.
I sat up and grouched at her, tempted to through a pillow or two in her direction as well.
"What time is it? Summer time!" she sang as she danced her way to my bed, then grabbed my hands and pulled me off the bed, pulling my arms back and forth to try and get me to dance along with her. I couldn't help it. I laughed.
"Come on!" she said, pulling me out across the main room and to her bedroom. "It's party time!"
That's when I pretended my feet were stapled to the floor and my smile vanished. "Willis, I really am not feeling up to going. Everyone will laugh at me, and I don't really have fun at parties anyway."
She groaned and dropped my hands, turning to her room and nudging the door open with her foot. "Peyton, you can't let them run all over you like that. and anyways, I would be with you!"
I shrugged my shoulders and began walking backwards to my room, giving her an apologetic look. "Next time, I promise!"
She went into her room and slammed the door closed.

It was one in the morning when I heard the front door open. I hadn't been able to sleep so I waited for Willis. I didn't wanna fight with her since she was one of the few friends I had.
I threw off my blankets and ran to the door, throwing it open and hauling myself into the main room. "Willis! I'm really sorry! I don't wanna fight and-"
I stopped mid sentence. Willis had brought a guy into the cabin (a big no- no), and they were seriously lip locked. Willis pulled away and looked surprised, her hand flying to her chest.
"Peyton! Ohmigawd you scared me!" She gave a breathy laugh and stepped away from the guy. He didn't look ashamed at all.
"Come on," he said, grabbing her hand and pulling her to her bedroom.
Willis turned back to him and shook her head. "Uh uh. Not with-" she nodded in my direction. "Tonight was fun, but you know that's all it was," she said and dragged him to the door.
He shot me a dirty look and I blushed from having interrupted them.
"See ya later, Willis," he said, but Willis had already closed the door in his face. We waited till we couldn't hear his footsteps anymore, then Willis gave a huge sigh of relief.
"Thank the lord! Peyton, you are my hero!" She walked over and threw her arms around me.
I was glad she didn't seem to be mad at me anymore but that didn't stop me from asking, "And why am I your hero? You have to remind me."
She unattached herself from me and gave a loud and absolute groan. "He was the worst kisser ever! I was praying to the lord that you were still up so I could have an accuse to get away from him! He want's to take me out Friday, but I lied and said I have plans. I need to find someone to take me out on a date Friday so I can get away!"
