Selena’s POV:

This is the eighth day in a row.

Eighth day in a row that Justin—my so called husband has been ‘working late’ at work and has been coming home around eleven at night.

“It’s just business babe” He says.

“I’m not doing anything wrong.” He says.

Bullshit I say.

I know you’re really just staying late to spend more time with that whore.

Kelly Hoffman.

I tucked Chris in bed making sure his night light was on and he had his favorite stuffed monkey.

“Mommy, is daddy working late again?” He asked.

“Yes hon.” I smiled fakely. “Now bed time mister.” I smiled to my son and kissed the top of his head.

He rolled over with his stuffed monkey—which he name Donald—and went straight to bed. I shut his door, leaving it cracked just an inch.

I went in our room--instead of waiting in the living room—and laid in our bed.

An hour later I heard his car pull up in the driveway and his car door shut.

11:48p.m.

I shook my head and held back the tears that I had and continued to pretend to be sleep.

I heard his footsteps and counted each step he took.

And then I saw his shadow underneath the door. He must have skip steps when he came up.

The door slowly opened and his figure stood in the door way.

He tried quietly to open up our closet and he pulled out some jeans and a shirt—I could easily tell—and he quietly tried to walk over to the bathroom but before he could, I leaned up and turned on the bedside lamp.

“Oh, honey—I thought you were sleeping.” He smiled.

I sat up in bed and crossed my arms.

“Well hello to you too Justin.” I said through gritted teeth. “Have a fun day at work?”

“Yeah. But I’m pretty tired.” He yawned.

“Oh yeah that’s why you were changing into some jeans?” I said. “Plan on going somewhere?”

“Well some of my workers were going out and wanted me to come because it’s Frank’s birthday and I told them I might.” He smiled.

“Are you sure you aren’t just going out to meet her?”

“Selena,” He sighed, “I told you nothing is going on between me and Kelly!” He said frustrated.

“Oh am I making you frustrated now? Well excuse me. You know what you can go on out and have your ‘little fun’. I’ll just stay home like I always do taking care of OUR child and OUR other child that soon is to be expected!”

“Selena—“

“DON’T FREAKING ‘SELENA ME’ JUSTIN! I’M ALMOST SIX MONTHS PREGNANT! YOU’RE SUPPOSE TO BE HOME WITH YOUR WIFE NOT OUT BANGING SOME WHORE!” I yelled.
