Chapter 3

The boys walk further into the plane

Are they riding with us?

Crap...

I'm pretty sure they are.

The blonde boy and a boy with curly hair sat in front of me and a boy with brown hair and a boy with black hair sat in front of them.

How many people are in One Direction?

Wait, I think there's five.

Where's the fifth one?

Immediately, my question is answered.

The boy with the "heartwarming smile" takes a seat next to me without speaking.

"Um, hello." I say,

"Hello, love." he says,

"You are?" I ask,

"You don't know who I am?" he asks,

"Well, I've seen you before in magazines and on the TV, but never heard your name. All I know is that you're in that band, New Directions?"

"It's One Direction. New Directions is the glee club on Glee. I'm surprised your not freaking out. But I'm Liam, Liam Payne. You're seriously not a Directioner?" he asks,

"No." I say,

"What's your name, love?" he asks,

"Kalani." I say,

"What a lovely name." he says,

I blush. "Thanks."

"Aww, look at that. Liam is flirting with his stranger!" someone says,

I turn to look in front of me to see the blonde haired boy looking at us along with the curly haired boy.

"Shut up." Liam says, "At least my stranger isn't a fan and isn't over here weeping because of me like you guys' strangers."

"Touché." the blonde says,

"That's Niall," Liam points to the blonde. "and that's Harry." He points to the curly haired boy.

Niall and Harry wave.

"What do you mean stranger?" I ask,

"Oh, we have to take turns sitting next to a stranger on the plane since it's an uneven number of people in our band and it's usually two a seat." Liam says,

"Kalani?" I hear a voice.

I look further on the other side of Liam and I to see my dad looking at me.

"Is this One Direction?" he asks,

"Yes sir." Liam says,

Liam has great manners.

"I'm Kalani's dad. Would you guys mind doing an interview with me sometime for my newspaper company since you guys are such stars? It's such an honor." he says,

I can hear the pride and kindness in my dad's voice.

"Absolutely. Anytime, anywhere." Liam says,

"Thank you." my dad says,

My dad turns to his book and begins to read it.

"Since I'll be spending the next couple of hours with you in this plane, here's a tiny bit about myself." Liam says, "I..."

I put my earbuds in my ears and plug them into my phone.

"I'm sorry to interrupt, but I'm going to listen to music on my phone. I just need to relax right now." I say,

"Oh. I didn't mean to bother you." Liam says,

"It's cool." I say,

I text Miko and Jo.

Good thing we have Kiks! Going to be spending the summer in England as a surprise from my parents. Oh, and Miko, One Direction is on the same plane as me! You're lucky I'm not a fan haha. Hope you guys can come visit over the summer! It'd be great!

I begin to turn on my music and Unconditionally by Katy Perry begins to play. Unexpectedly, I drift to sleep and dream about England and how I plan how to spend my summer.
