"Attention all passengers! We will be landing in about 5 minutes! Please pack up all of your belongings and be prepared for landing!" the flight attendant says,
At this point, I am wide awake.
I loom at Liam.
"Where will you be staying?" I ask,
"I live in England." Liam says,
"Oh, I'm sorry. That was stupid." I say,
"Hey, um, this may sound awkward, but uh, I was wondering if we could exchange phone numbers." Liam says,
"Sure." I say,
We exchange our phones and put our numbers in them.
"Do you have a Twitter?" Liam asks,
"Yeah."
"What is it? I'll follow you."
"It's @kalani_wai. I'll follow you when I get to the hotel."
"How do you know that I have a Twitter?" Liam asks,
"I figured because you asked me if I had a Twitter."
"Oh."
"Attention all passengers! We are landing right now!"
We suddenly land.
After about 2 minutes, we are allowed to exit the plane.
"Hey, you'll text me, okay? This isn't goodbye." Liam says,
"Yes."
I'm glad that Liam wants to be friends with me. Miko would be jealous. But I think he has a different favorite, right? I'm not sure.
"Kalani?" my mom asks,
"Yes?"
"Who was that?"
"Liam from One Direction"
"Ooh, somebody's a flirt." my dad says,
"Shut up. Liam and I just met and we're only friends. Besides, he probably has a girlfriend. He's famous, you know?" I say,
"Relax, Kalani. I'm only joking."
"Never tease a girl about flirting, Phillip." my mom says,
"Can we just stop talking about flirting? It's really awkward. We just landed in England and are standing in the middle of an airport. Let's go enjoy it!"
"She's right, Nan." my dad says,
"Thank you."
"Ok then. C'mon, let's go!" my mom says,
As we walk out of the airport, I hope that I get to see One Direction over the summer.
At least Liam.
I don't have a crush on Liam. I just want to see my new friend.
