Sadie's POV
As I walk home, I can't stop thinking about how Joshua looked in the lighting. His normal brown hair looked jet black, and his skin seemed transparent. He truly is The Phantom.Joshua's POV
She saw me, and she didn't freak out. She saw what I was, and she said she was the same. Who was she? And who were her victims? She looked so enchanting in the light of my kill room. Her hair was as black as it had ever been, and her eyes.... They were a captivating green.
I finish with my victim and start to head to Sadie's. The crunching of leaves under my feet the only sound I hear. I wonder what we'll discuss?Sadie's POV
I had to tell her.
"Aunt Lorraine?" I call.
"Yes, dear? What do you need?" She replies.
"I hope you don't mind, but I invited Joshua over." I inform her.
"Of course I don't mind, sweetheart! If anything I'm excited! Two of you in the same house! Ooh, he can live here if you like." She says.
"That'll be left up to him." I finish.Joshua's POV
I walk up to the door of the mansion that she described, and I knock. An older woman with red hair and the same eyes as Sadie answers.
"You must be Joshua! Come in, my dear!" She ushers me inside. I look around the massive living space and see the one person I want to see sitting on the couch.
"Sadie." I say breathlessly. She smiles at me and pats the spot next to her. I walk over to her, how did I not know about her? The signs should have been obvious.
"Is there a problem, Joshua?" She tilts her head. My stomach jolts, and I hold back a sigh.
"No, Sadie, I'm just wondering how you slipped through my fingers. By the way, is she okay?" I ask motioning to the older woman.
"Yes, she knows everything. She's even offered to help, so that we don't get caught." She replies.
"So she knows about what we do?" I ask. Sadie nods her head.
"She offered to let you live here as well, does that sounds alright?" She asks me.
"That sounds fine." I say. Sadie shows me to a room that is unoccupied, and I settle in. Sadie tells me that we have a long day tomorrow, and that I should get plenty of rest. I settle in and slowly drift off to sleep.Sadie's POV
I get up and get dressed. So what are we going to do? I think to myself. I go downstairs to join Lorraine for breakfast.
"Good morning, dear! Joshua and I have been having a wonderful conversation! You should join us!" My aunt gushes.
"That was the plan, aunt Lorraine." I mumble tiredly. She creases her forehead slightly.
"Lori was just feeling me about her studies, and the people she worked with." Joshua states.
"Lori?" I speculate.
"I asked him to call me that, sweetheart." My aunt informs me. I just shrug my shoulders and sit down. I start loading the plate set for me with eggs and sausages.
"So, Joshua? I was thinking that maybe, we could be partners?" I throw out. The table goes completely silent as he finishes chewing his food.
"You mean, kill together?" He asks. I nod, and he continues to look at me.
"Sure, it sounds entertaining." He adds. I smile to myself, then continue to eat my breakfast.
