"Hello?"
"Mrs. Black, we have your daughter here who says she's not feeling well. We'd like for you to come get her."
"Oh that's just great! Tell her I'll be there in twenty minutes!" I hang up.
"Can that child just give me one day!?! One fucking day!?! I swear to god she's like her father!" I walk out the door and start heading toward my car. I go down the last step of our apartment, and something black jets out.
"Jesus fucking Christ!" I scream, good god. It was just a cat. I walk to my car and get in. I take a deep breath, then start the car. I drive to the school to see my damn daughter sitting on the curb.
"Get the hell in!" I yell at her.
"I'm coming." She mumbles. I drive her home then shut off the car.
"What made you think you could call me, you little shit?" I ask angrily.
"I feel sick, that's what." She gets out of the car. I get out and walk after her. We are soon inside our apartment.
"Didn't I tell you that you aren't to call unless someone's dying!?! I was in the middle of my goddamn show!" I scream.
She ignores me and goes straight to her room. I pound on her door, "Don't you think this is the end if this conversation little girl! We are far from through!"
I walk into the living room and plop down into my chair.
"Ugh.... Am I a bad mother?" I ask the picture of my late husband.
"I do everything to make sure she's taken care of, but she still doesn't want to be at school." I watch TV for a few hours, then I hear a noise.
"Sadie? You coming out of your room honey?" Everything is dark.
"Sadie! If you're playing games with me Ima whoop your ass!" I yell. No answer. I check in on Sadie, and she's sleeping. I go into the kitchen to see what the noise was.
I turn around, and there's a figure behind me. I scream. Something sharp is plunged into my chest.
The attacker runs. Minutes go by, and I hear a thudding coming towards me. It's Sadie, and she's screaming. The last I see of my daughter is her running to get her phone, then I'm gone.Sadie's POV
Well, I'm being sent to my Aunt Lorraine's. My mom is dead....
My Aunt is a neat freak, everything has to be clean. As soon as I walk into her house, she yells at me to go shower.
"This is your room, dear. You are not to leave this room unless you are hungry, thirsty, have to use the bathroom, or dying!" Lorraine explains.
"Am I allowed to go over to friends?" I ask annoyed.
"Yes! But none of your friends are allowed over here," She retorts, "they are dirty!"
I go outside and walk around for a bit. Is this really what my life is going to be like? I need to go think. I start to walk into town.
