Later that night:
As I got about done helping my mom pact our stuff I didn't realize how dark it was getting outside. Matt texted me if I was still coming over to hang out. I had explained to him how I barely finished. I started walking to his house and on my way there it began to rain. I pulled over my black hoodie and quickened my pace; trying to avoid the never ending drops of water.

The dark gloomy sky was only making me feel more alone. I soon reached the house and knocked on his door. The house felt empty and I had a strange vibe so I looked around and that's when the door slowly opened. Matt noticed I didn't stop looking behind me. "Are you okay?" He asked while peeking his head to look around himself. "Yeah I'm good." He then invited me in.

"Well it's good to see you again." said Matt with a welcoming handshake.

"Hey bro so where are your parents?" I asked while looking  around noticing the rest of the house was dark except the living room. "They're out on a date again." He shyly responded while rubbing the back of his neck.

We then watched the football game in the living room; eating nachos. We started talking about how much we wanted to grow up already and be done with school. Then we moved on to talking about girls, specifically the girl he deeply had a crush on.

"Alright man I got to go." I said while getting up from the couch.

"I'm going to miss you man like a lot."

"Me too but don't worry I'll keep in touch." I said coming closer for a hug. Around midnight I went back home and like I said I still had a strange vibe; It was pretty dark. I exit Matt's neighborhood and halfway towards my house from a distance, I saw a man standing in the middle of the road.

He was coming closer to me. He was wearing a black jacket, dark blue jeans with brown boots. The closer he got to me the more I felt like I was frozen in place. Finally he stopped which at this point he was five feet away from me. He stared at me for a while and said, "I know what happened to your brother." I then felt watched and weirded out the fact that this stranger knew what happened. I soon realized that my brother's death took place seven years ago. When I was about nine years old and Ash was seventeen before he was stolen away from me.

I then asked, " who are you?" The man slightly turned and walked away. I continued walking and soon reached my house while constantly looking behind me on the way there. I came inside and went upstairs quietly trying not to wake up my mom. Good thing she was exhausted today from all that work in the house.

Also she is a heavy sleeper so that was a good thing for me. I let myself drop on to my bed, looked at the ceiling and thought about what the man had told me. Could it be the driver or the shooter of the night my brother was murdered? No that would be stupid of him, right? Who was he?
