I fell short
I disappointed people who love me
Those who see my worth
I allowed bullies
To push me around
I was gullible
I could have fought back
Or made them stop
But i didn't
Until they pushed me to the edge
And my eyes were opened wide
And I halted
Ducked to escape the blow
I saw them fall
One by one
I turned a deaf ear
To their pleads
And cries for remittal of their sins
I fell myself so short then
I turned away
And never looked back
And i heard applause.
