"Mornin'!"
I said out loud as I stuffed my books in my bag, walking down the stairs. I approached the dining room to find my mom putting the food on the table, along with my dad and my younger brother, Dylan.

"Good morning! Slept in again, honey?" Mom asked.

"Yeah. Alarm's not working on me." I joked as I sat down the table for breakfast.

They let out a small laugh.

"Hey Sam, I'm going skating with my friends later today. Can I borrow your board?" Dylan asked as I put eggs on my plate.

"What happened to your board?" I replied, giving him sideway glances.

"Repairman said he needs a few more days."

I frowned at the thought of Dylan's broken board.

"Oh man. How bad was it?" I asked.

"Hinges had to be replaced." Dylan cringed.

"Ooh. Sorry, dude. It's okay, you can borrow my board." I said, creating a smile on Dylan's face.

"Sweet! Hey, you can use my bike to school today."

"Thanks!"

We fistpumped.

"You better take care of your sister's board now, young man. Bought that limited edition myself." Dad said as he sipped his coffee.

"Don't worry Dad. Dyl's got it. Right Dyl?" I said as I tapped Dylan's shoulder.

"Yeah." Dylan smiled at me.

I winked at him.

We all finished breakfast, Dyl and I kissed Mom and Dad, and we were on our way out.

"Bye Mom! Bye Dad!" Dylan and I said in chorus.

"Take care you two!"

"Study well!"

Mom and Dad waved as we headed out.

I rode Dylan's bike and he took my board.

The sun was peeking in between the trees as I enjoyed the wind in my hair.

This is great. I missed biking. And Dylan had a good pair of wheels to add it up.

*snifffffff*

I inhaled the breeze.

This was my life

This was my life. Senior year; last year of high school, beautiful mom, doctor dad, heart throb 16-year-old brother, and 3 adorable friends: 2 bffs, and 1 bbf (boy best friend), video games and junk food in the weekend. Oh yeah. Things have never been better. The nightmares aside, I'm pretty much contented with my life.
