Re-editing this one. Hope you'll like it getting darker than before.

"Yusei?" Yusei looked up from the project he was currently working on to see Jack leaning on his desk with a frown. "You are coming to this tournament, right? It's the Friendship Cup."

Yusei sighed and put down his pencil. "I know. Yeah, I'll be there this time. I'm sorry. I've been really busy with this project."

Jack shook his head and leaned down enough to give Yusei a soft kiss on his lips. He backed away to see Yusei blushing. "Still with that secret project, huh?" He placed another kiss, but this time on Yusei's cheek where his criminal marking was. "Anyway, I've got the others' tickets for the luxury suite. I called Crow, and he said he'll be coming with the twins shortly."

"Thanks."

Jack sat down beside Yusei with a concerned look. "Yusei, please talk to me. You're worrying everyone."

Yusei rubbed his eye. "I'm sorry, Jack. I know I've been worrying everyone, but there's something about this project that's been troubling me."

"Wanna talk about it?"

"Will you understand?" Yusei teased. He laughed a bit when he noticed Jack's exaggerated eye roll before standing up and heading to a tech board that Jack had gifted him for his birthday. He typed on the keyboard, and a diagram with colored dots popped up. "Recently, I found out that there are more dimensions than the one we live in."

"What do you mean, more than one dimension?" The two turned to see both of Yusei's protégés walking in with a Duel Runner between them. Yugo placed it next to Yusei's Runner, and they sat down at their own desks they had in Yusei's lab. Rin leaned forward in her seat. "Sorry to intrude on the conversation, Yusei. Jack called us to come over. But how long have you known about this?"

Yusei rubbed the back of his neck. "Eh, maybe for three weeks?" He expanded the diagram onto the center of the floor, where the twelve dots expanded into larger planets, each a different color. "I'm not exactly certain, but as you can see, there are twelve different dimensions." He pointed to the one glowing icy blue. "That's us."

"And this is what you've been working on for weeks now? Parallel dimensions?" Jack asked.

"No." He opened another file, which showed the Crimson Dragon. "It was this one. It's called Project Spirit, and I had it on the back burner for a while so I could focus on Dimensions, but I discovered that they coincide with one another." Yusei said. "Look." Yusei typed in a few things, causing the planets to dim except for four. "Don't be fooled and think it's a solar system. These are each different dimensions. They don't exist in our system, but they exist in this reality map. These four are extremely similar to one another. The light blue one, as I pointed out, represents our dimension, which we can call the Synchro dimension."

"Because we mainly use Synchro cards?" Jack asked.

"Exactly. The pink one represents the dimension where fusion is predominant, the red one represents the ritual or tribute dimension, and the grey one represents the Xyz dimension."

"But we use fusion and Tribute summoning often as well?" Jack questioned, "Why are we Synchro?"

"Yes we do tribute," Yusei explained. "But if you notice, we main one thing over the other. We use tribute summoning to get higher monsters, yes, but we don't necessarily need to, and it seems the same for the others too. And Fusion, like a handful of pro-duelists use it, but not often as you think. Anyways, each dimension has two spirits symbolizing its essence." He pointed to the pink dimension. "For example, this one has a spirit called Elemental HERO Neos, accompanied by a dragon silhouette. However, the dragon seems to be hidden in translation." Then he pointed to the grey dimension. "In this dimension, there's a spirit called Number 39: Utopia, also with a dragon silhouette. The red dimension features the Dark Magician and its corresponding dragon, while in our Synchro dimension, we have Stardust Dragon along with another dragon."
