Seth slid behind the wheel. "We'll stay at my house then we'll go over to my parents sometime in the afternoon. My stepdad isn't home he went on a trip with his cousins and my real dad works night so we won't meet him this time."

"This time? Seth this just to make sure things are okay with your family." She looked at him and immediately regretted it. "I'm sorry I shouldn't have said it like that."

"It's fine I shouldn't have said it so casually. This isn't easy you've become a big part of my life. I mean we travel together. We share a room together."

"I know but I can't, I just can't."

"So you keep saying. Anyway like I said we'll stay at my house."

Fine. Do you have a spare bedroom?"

"Yes if that's what you want."

"Yes that's what I want."

"That's what I want."

They boarded the plane and a few hours later landed. Seth had a rental car waiting for them. About an hour later he pulled into the driveway of his house. "Home sweet home." He said as he shut off the car.

"Nice house."

"Yeah not to bad. I'm not a flashy guy I like simple."

"Simple is good."

"Did we just agree on something?"

"Maybe." Christina smiled.

He unlocked the door and turned on some lights. "Spare bedroom," he opened the door.

"Thanks."

"It does have its own bathroom."

"Okay." Christina dropped her bag onto the floor. "Seth goodnight."

"Goodnight." He smiled.

Seth was in the kitchen making breakfast when she came out.

"Morning."

"Morning."

"Sleep well?"

"I did actually."

"Coffee pot is there."

"Keurig. Best invention ever."

"Yeah it is." He chuckled. "Making eggs, sausage and biscuits."

"Sounds good. But when did you have time to go to the store?"

"My brother whenever I have any kind of down time he'll swing in and stock up my fridge."

"You're family close?"

"Yeah we are. If it wasn't for them I would have went crazy while I was out with my injury."

"That's good. Not the injury part but the family part," She sipped her coffee trying to keep calm. That's one thing she didn't have anymore. Family.

Seth stirred the eggs as she headed off into the living room. Family photos decorated the room. Picture of Seth and his brother when they were younger.

"That was one thing about my mom she loved taking pictures of us." Seth said coming into the living room with two plates.

"I see," she smiled as she took the plate. "It's nice to have memories like this." She frowned.

"You don't? I mean have pictures of your parents."

"I packed them up." She picked at her food.

"Why?"

"Why? Really? Seth because it was to painful to wake up every morning and see two people I loved that are no longer here."

"I'm sorry."

"Please don't be I heard that most of my life. I'm sorry. I hate that phrase. I know it's all people know what to say but you get tired of hearing it."

"I can't even imagine." Seth placed a soft hand on her shoulder.

Christina half smiled over at him. "And I truly hope you never do." She took a bite of her food. "Breakfast is delicious." Christina complimented as she quickly changed the subject.

Seth beamed. "Glad to hear it. I talked to my mom and we'll go over there for dinner around six. My step dad is out of town so it'll just be my mom and my brother."

"Okay. But I do have one problem."

"And what's that?"

"I don't have much clothing. I'll pay you back when I can but if you don't mind."

"No problem get dressed and we'll hit the stores."
