"No. He didn't do any of that."
"That makes him the biggest fool around. Because you are. Beautiful." He leaned in and brushed his lips along her cheek. He smiled over at her, "ready?"
Christina nodded, as he took her hand into his. What was that? She lightly placed her hand on her cheek.
The car ride over to his parents house was a quite one. Christina kept glancing over at him. Did he mean it?

"Mom," Seth called as he came into his childhood house.
"Colby," she cried as she came in and hugged him. She pulled away then smacked his arm.
"Ouch!" He replied. "What was that for?"
"You getting married without your mother."
"It wasn't exactly planned," he told her as he rubbed his arm.
"No excuse Colby." She pointed at him and then turned her attention to Christina. "You must be Christina."
"Nice to meet you," she said nervously." She held out her hand but was pulled into a hug. Christina smiled and returned the hug.
"She's beautiful." Seth's mom stated.
"Yes she is," Seth looked over at her.
Christina smiled.
"Come," she told her as she looped her arm around Christina's.
"You have a lovely home."
"Thank you. So Christina tell us about yourself."
"Not much to tell."
"Come now what about your childhood?"
Christina frowned. "I um well it was," she faltered, "I need some air, please excuse me." She quickly left.
"So how's it going?" Seth said coming back into the room.
"I'm not sure," Seth mom answered.
"What do you mean?" Seth looked around, "where's Christina?"
"She said she needed some air. We were just talking about her childhood."
"Oh," Seth frowned.
"What's wrong?"
"Her parents died in a car accident."
"Oh no, the poor dear." Seth's mom put her hand up to her chest.

Christina stood on the porch of the Lopez's house, she just stood there looking up at the evening sky. She though she was going to be able to handle this. She wasn't. She shouldn't be here. She shouldn't be here.
"You okay?"
Christina kept her back to him, " I should have been more prepared and I wasn't."
"It's my fault I should have filled them in on your childhood."
Christina shrugged.
Seth closed the gap between them he slid his hands around her waist and just held her. Christina leaned her head up against his chest. She could feel his heartbeat.
It amazed her how well they fit and how safe and oddly enough loved.
"Mom told me not to bother you guys but dinner is ready," his brother told him.
Seth wished his brother had actually listened to their mom for a change.
"Okay," Seth turned his head slightly and shot his brother a 'bad timing' look.
"I told you not to bother them." She said as she smacked him.
"What? I'm hungry." He shrugged.
"No it's fine I am a bit hungry," Christina smiled.
"Good."
Dinner was filled with stories of Seth childhood. Christina smiled and laughed. Soon dinner was over and the family retired to the living room.
"So when can I expect grandkids?"
Christina nearly choked on her coffee. "I'm sorry?"
"Mom we just got married." Seth countered.
"You two are perfect. A mother knows," she grinned.
Christina half heartily grinned. Seth squirmed.
"So when do you go back on the road?" Seth's brother asked?
"Tomorrow morning," Seth shot his brother a 'thank you' glance.
"So soon," his mom frowned.
"I know but this is what I worked so hard for these last six months."
"I know but I just miss seeing you."
Seth went over to his mom and hugged her. "I know I miss you guys too."
Christina just stared into her coffee. He was lucky and she was jealous.
They said their goodbyes and hugged.
"I just wish your dad was home. But he went on a fishing trip with his brother and cousins.."
"It's fine it was short notice and all besides I just wanted her to meet you anyway." He said in a hush voice.
"She's perfect I see it the looks you two give each other. I don't care what TMZ has to say I see the love."
"You saw that?" Seth asked.
"Yes but seeing you two right now tells me that there's something here. Trust me a mother knows." She grinned and hugged them both.
Seth smiled and kissed his mother on the cheek. "Love you."
"Love you to sweetie." His mother smiled up at him and then turned her attentions to Christina. "You have a family now. Take care of each other." She hugged Christina. "He's lucky to have you."
Christina smiled, she felt something she hadn't felt in a long time. Love. A sense of family.
