I'm sitting by the lake May showed me. I'm just looking at the water and thinking. It's been six months since I left the castle. I still don't miss being a prince. But I'm starting to miss Will. I miss... I miss the time before he had to find a wife –Don't get me wrong, I like Luna-.

"Matt?" I hear behind me. I get up and start to walk away, but he takes my arm. I look at him. "Matt, please, can we talk?" Will asks me. I look at my arm and then back at him. he let go of my arm. "I won't try to take you back to the castle." "Fine." I say and sit down with him.

"I just want to know one thing: Are you happy with the rebels?" I don't look at him and keep looking at the lake. "I do; I really like being with them." "Then I'm happy, but that's not why I wanted to talk to you. I don't know if you already heard, I'm a father now." I look at him and smile. "I'm happy for you, is it a boy or a girl?" He smiles at me. "A girl, Lauretta." "That's a pretty name." "Just like her, she's as beautiful as her mother." "Then you'll have a lot of work when she's older. Every boy would want to be her boyfriend!" He laughs. "Only you would say something like that." "And that's why you like me."

"That's true. But let's talk about you." I stop smiling. "Why?" He stops smiling too. "The woman I saw you with, is she your girlfriend?" "Why do you think that?" "I saw you kissing her." I look down. He saw that? This is not good. "She's the leader of the rebels, isn't she?" I look at him surprised. "I saw the symbol on her helmet." Oh no, this isn't good. "You can't-" I start but he interrupts me. "Don't worry, I won't tell anyone." I smile again. "Thanks." He smiles back. "That's what brothers are for." "Who was so wise to tell you that?" He laughs. "But seriously, is she your girlfriend?" "She is; I really love her." "I'm happy for you, I hope I get to meet her someday." "You will."

"I really miss, spending time with you." I don't say anything, so he just keeps talking. "It's pretty lonely in the castle." "You've got Luna and your daughter, I had no one." I say looking away. "Matt, let me explain." "Why? What is there to explain? You left for two years." "We weren't allowed to use our phones." "Why not?" "So we weren't being disturbed." I hear him take a deep breath. "After four months, Luna got pregnant." I look at him confused. "But, then you would have two babies?" "We were really happy and were planned to return home three months after, but..." He pauses. "A few days before we left, she had a miscarriage." "A miscarriage?" "Yeah, we were devastated. That's why we stayed longer. I'm sorry I didn't call or texted, but even if I was allowed to, I wouldn't know what I would say." "No, I'm sorry. I should have let you explain, it's just after what happened here-"

I say but stop myself. He looks worried at me. "What happened?" "Nothing." I say standing up. He stands up to and looks at me. "Matt, what happened?" "Nothing, it doesn't matter." "It does matter, otherwise you wouldn't have mentioned it." "Just leave it." He sighs deeply.

"I need to go back home." I say to him and turn around to walk away. "Matt, wait!" I stop walking, but don't look at him. "Where do you live?" He asks. I look at him. "I live with my girlfriend." He looks anxious at me. "You live with your girlfriend?" "Yeah, I just said that." I answer irritated. "Matt, please tell me that you haven't slept with her." "Really Will? Do you think so low of me?" "I don't, it's just that you live with her." "Yeah I do and now I'm going to her, bye Will." I say and walk away.

" I say and walk away

When I enter the house, all the lights are off. "May? Are you home?" I ask. No answer. Maybe she left a note. I walk to the kitchen –that's where she always leaves notes- and I see a note. I pick it up and read it. "Come to the garden." Okay, that's weird. I walk to the garden and immediately see candles on the ground. They're forming a path so I'm following them. Eventually I see May in a beautiful white short lace dress with sleeves. I look at her in awe. "Do you like my dress?" "Yes, you're beautiful. But why are you dressed like that and why are we here?"

"Do you remember when you asked me to marry you?" "Yes, why?" "Do you still want me as your wife?" "Yes, of course!" She smiles. "Then I would love to be your wife." "Y-You really mean it?" She nods. I hug her and kiss her cheek. She laughs and looks behind her. "You can come now." I look at where she's looking and I'm surprised to see a priest walking towards us. "You want to get married now?" I ask her. "Yes, you wanted to marry soon and I want my family with us. This is the only place where I know they're with us." I smile at her. "Then it's the perfect place."

"Shall we begin?" The priest asks. I look at him. "Yes, you can start." The priest clears his throat. "I stand before this couple this day to united them in the bonds of matrimony. If there be anyone present that may present just and lawful cause why these two individuals may not be lawfully wed, let him speak now or forever hold his peace." We all smile. "I don't think that there's anyone present to forbid us to get married." May says smiling. "Well that's good, huh." The priest smiles. He then looks at me. "Do you take May Ferrato as your wedded wife?" I look at May and smile. "I do." The priest looks at May. "Do you take Prince Matthew as your wedded husband?" She smiles at me. "I do." "I don't think that you have rings, do you?" The priest asks. "No, we don't." May says. "I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride." The priest says. I look at May and she looks at me. We both lean in and kiss.

"Congratulations." "Thanks." May says smiling. I look at him. "Please, don't tell anyone about this." "Don't worry, I won't. I promised May, I would never break a promise. Especially a promise to her." She smiles when he says that. She then looks at me. "He took care of Drake and I when our parents died." She looks down. "And he was there for me when Drake died." "It's good that you had someone." "You knew Drake too?" The priest asks me. "Yes, I he was my best friend. I was meeting him that night." "That must be horrible." "It was, I tried to save him, but it was too late." "So that scarf was yours?" "It was." "Well, then you two found each other just after a bad time." "Yes, we did." May says smiling at me.
