Chapter 16

Riker's POV

TWO DAYS LATER

it was time for Ally and I to go to Tahoe. I was so excited! We were taking Ally's car because it was huge. It was around 6 in the morning when we left. "Bye guys! Have fun and be safe! If I get a call saying you broke your neck I won't be impressed," Stormie said and we both laughed. Mark said something along those lines and we hugged everyone. "Have fun," Eilish said. Rocky's not-girlfriend-but-they-kissed girl was here, her name was Emma. I didn't really know her at all, but I was looking forward to eventually. We walked out the door and waved to everyone. I hopped in the drivers seat and Ally got in the passengers. "Wait, if it's my car, shouldn't I be driving?" Ally asked.

"Well no," I replied and started the car. We waved bye again as we drove out of the driveway. Ally put on radio Disney, and r5 was on. "Yay!" she exclaimed. I grinned. We drove for about 4 hours, but it was fine as long as I was with Ally. When we finally got there, I took a moment to admire the snow. We drove to our house and unpacked. The house was SO COOL. Big luxurious bedrooms, a large kitchen, the hot tub was amazing, and it had a fireplace and free marshmallows (yessss!). After we unpacked we sat together on the couch. "So what do you think?" I asked.

"I love it. I think we'll have an amazing time," Ally said and I nodded.

"Well, we're probably not gonna start skiing yet, and there's a hot tub outside," I said and Ally smiled.

We stayed in the hot tub for ages. Just Ally and I, away from all the problems we used to have, talking in a massive hot tub. Perfect. After an hour and a half in the hot tub, we got out and put on clean clothes. It was midday so we made some PB&J sandwiches. I got the bread out and Ally got the peanut butter and jelly. I grabbed a knife and opened the jars and started making the sandwiches, with Ally standing right next to me. I accidentally flung some peanut butter on her, and you know where that went. She smeared some jelly all over my face so I did the same to her. This went on for a while and then we both had to change clothes again. After that we ate our sandwiches without any peanut butter flinging or jelly smearing. When we were finished eating, we headed outside to play in the snow. First we made snow angels, then a snowman and snow woman, then we had a snowball fight, and lastly we just messed around. It was the perfect day with the perfect girl! And this was the perfect holiday!

Rylands POV

It was kinda sad saying goodbye to Riker and Ally, but it was only a few days. So things may have been perfect earlier, but now I don't know what was happening with me. Every time I saw Ross and Eilish I felt like my heart was trampled on by elephants. Of course I still loved her but I only just realised how much I wanted her back. Ross and Eilish were surfing together (again) and I felt a twinge of sadness. They were so perfect together it just bugged me. When they finally came back, around lunch time, I spoke to Ross in private. "Dude," I said, running my fingers through my hair. "What?" Ross asked.

"It's killing me. I don't know why but it is," I told him.

"It is? Really?" Ross replied.

"Yeah, really," I said.

"Well... Uh... Just find a new girl," Ross said.

"Um excuse me?" I asked.

"Find a new girl," Ross said again.

"You really expect me to just find a new girl? It doesn't work like that!" I answered.

"Well it could. Come on, just consider it," Ross told me.

"No! Cause if I do find a new girl, it won't be, like, real love. I'd only be dating her to get my mind off Eilish, and if either of those girls knew, they'd be furious at me. That's two angry girls," I argued.

"Well, it's what you NEED to do, cause I don't want you head over heels for my girl," Ross said and walked away. Ptth. He can't tell me what to do. And he can't run my love life. He may be a big brother but he can't control my life.

Rocky's POV

Okay so I don't know why Emma couldn't see we were prefect for each other. I called her up again. "Hey,' I said.

"Hi," She replied.

"so I'm doing nothing, you're probably doing nothing, sooooo," I said.

"Sooooo lets hang out," she finished.

"Yeah. Where you wanna go?" I asked.

"Let's go to......... I don't know," Emma answered.

"Really. Um lets brainstorm... Do we feel like walking downtown, or-"

"I got it!" Emma blurted. "Let's go downtown tonight. They're having a winter concert thing and it's at 6 and we can hang there for the night."

"Sounds great, but that means I have to wait till tonight to hang out with you," I said smiling.

"Haha. Just annoy your siblings to pass time,' Emma told me and I laughed.

"Okay, well I'll see you tonight," I said.

"Yeah. I'll come get you at 5:45," Emma told me and we said goodbye and hung up. She was one awesome chick.

At 5:45, I was ready. I sat on my phone making tweets and taking Instagram selfies (as I do) and when Emma came I immediately hopped up and stuffed my phone in my pocket. "Hey?" I said. Emma was just dressed casual, nothing fancy. The same as me. It was cold, so we were both bundled up. I noticed she had a picnic basket in her hand. "Picnic huh?" I said.

"Yup. It'll be great, won't it?" Emma replied.

"Yeah it will," I said and we walked out of the house and into Emma's car. We drove downtown and parked our car and got out. Emma led me to a nice spot on the grass and I layed out the blanket. We sat down and Emma opened the picnic basket. Inside was coke, and some pizza as well as some chocolate bars for dessert. "Yay!" I exclaimed. We dug into our dinner as the first performer came on stage. He played a song and I put my arm around Emma. It was my chance right now during the really romantic song. "So uh.. I don't know if you can feel it between us," I said.

"Rocky I barely know you," Emma responded.

"Who cares? I know about you. Sort of. I just can't wait. I need you and I want you to be mine and I want to be yours right now," I told her.

"Well.... Okay, Rocky Lynch, I will date you" Emma said and I tried not to cheer and go crazy. I just smiled and we leaned in and kissed. We listened to the music in silence for a minute and then my friend Matt came over. "Rocky! How come you're not performing with your band here?" He asked.

"I don't know," I replied.

"Is it cause you wanted to spend time with your señorita?' Matt asked, looking at Emma.

"Maybe.." I said.

"Come on, do a song, no one will mind," Matt told me.

"But I don't have a song or a guitar," I said.

"Borrow mine. And just sing a song you know off by heart, come on Rock," Matt convinced me to do it so I grabbed his guitar and hopped on stage. What song should I sing? I didn't even know. I decided on I'm Yours because I knew the chords and words. I began singing and i made it obvious I was singing the song to Emma. When I was finished I hopped off stage, returned my guitar to Matt and sat back down next to Emma. "Wow that was amazing! I didn't know that was in you. Well I knew it was in you, but I never knew it was like, you know what just nevermind," Emma said and I laughed. The last act performed as we were having dessert and then we packed up. "I really had an amazing time," I said as I hopped into Emma's car. "Me too," Emma said and we drove to my place. I got out and I didn't want to leave Emma. "Okay, I'll see you sometime," I said. "Love you!"

"Love you too," Emma said and we kissed then she drove away. Wow I had an amazing night.
