Today, I am meeting with my literary agent about the release of my new book. I can’t believe it’s yet another bestseller. Who would have thought that when I first started writing? I had thought that perhaps a handful of people would actually enjoy my stories. I never would have believed it would number into millions of readers requesting more.
It’s funny. I never thought of myself as someone extremely talented. Yes, I enjoyed writing and I have always received good feedback, but it’s not the same as becoming a #1 author.
I’m still trying to get over the shock.
One week from now, there will be another signing. I love meeting my fans. I can’t believe how far some of them travel for a chance to meet me in person.
To think I was one of those fans once for someone else…
Anyway, this time, there will be a surprise waiting for them. A major movie corporation bought the rights of one of my first books. In a year or so I will see my writing on the white screen. And I’ll be involved with the production every step of the way.
I can’t wait to announce the news.
