never in the three years that luke had known calum, did he expect things to go as far as they did. calum had been his best friend for years. he never expected calum to betray him like he had. after three years of being best friends, you would have thought that a guy would be the last thing to weasel his way between the two. as it turned out, however, anything can break a friendship that wasn't at its strongest to begin with.

luke had never felt that heartbroken before in his life. calum had been his everything for three years -- three fucking years! apparently, three years had meant nothing to calum, because the minute luke shows appreciation for a boy with bright hair, calum does too. shit, what had luke ever done to deserve that type of treatment?

what had he ever done to deserve hearing his best friend (and, was he even his best friend anymore?) and his boyfriend -- if that was the necessary term -- drinking with each other and laughing up a storm. calum never laughed like that with luke. never in the three years of the luke and calum show did calum laugh like luke was the only person in the world who could make him laugh.

luke didn't know which one hurt more - the fact that calum practically stole michael from him, or the fact that michael practically stole calum from him. then again, luke wasn't sure he really had to think about him. the most important person in his life was calum.

the answer would always be calum.
