~~ Diego's POV~~

I stared at Delilah sleeping through the blinds of the glass window. My proposal was a little silly and I completely understand if she doesn't want to marry me. But why can't she see that I love her.

I really do love you, Delilah.

I thought about the way she looked at her parents, the longing for their love. She might even die without seeing them and they won't be able to see her. I couldn't just let that happen to her.

Just then, an idea flashed to my mind.

But believe me, it wasn't a good one.

I stormed off, out of the hospital and walked 4 km to the apartment block, I was so determined to get Saru's parents to her, I ignored the burning in my legs. I ran upstairs, skipping steps all the way to the third floor, grabbing some beer from my fridge on the way.

Luckily the door was open, I walked through it, and peeked at the room where Saru's picture where a long marigold garland was. I ignored the chattering of the relatives, going on and on about Kaveri's successful wedding.

I went to the picture, ripped the yellow garland from her pictures and threw it to the floor in anger. The women around me gasped and started whispering to one another in fear of me as I gulped down the green bottle.

"Oh my... what's he doing?" Whispered one chubby and sweaty lady in a green top. She seemed to have a stuffed mouth full of cake.

"Come quickly!" The lady said as she rushed out looking for Delilah's father and immediately he barged into the room.

"Rascal! What is this? What hooliganism is this?" He looked at me with the same look he gave me and Delilah weeks ago.

"Call the police!" He turned to his wife who was clenching her dress in fear.

I looked at him and pointed a finger. "Stop putting a wreath on her photo"

"Otherwise... what will you do?" He shouted in anger. "What can you do?"

"I'll come back so you can slap me again." I said calmly and left the apartment.

"Hey... buddy." I opened my tired eyes to a familiar voice. "Wake up, its morning.
Come on!"

I got up in shock and looked at him, realizing that it was the same cop that helped Saru and me that morning, standing in front of me.

"I told you I've got my eyes on you." He continued. "You're the star of the society. There are many complaints against you."

I looked over the roof and saw the residents, including Delilah's father standing with arms crossed and his world famous stern face.

"Did you drink all this alone?" He laughed as he pointed to the bright green bottles all around me. "Surprising. Come on, I'll get you some tea at the police station. We have a lot to talk about"

And with that, he pulled me off from my hangover state and drove me to the police station. I was still confused as to what really happened after I left the house.
