2 Weeks later.
Elise's POV
"Your certain about this?" Jorja questioned blowing at the hot liquid contained in the blue mug she took a sip. I nodded my head as it dropped into my hands, the steam emitted off the hot coffee warming my face. The hair that covered my face Jorja tucked behind my ear, her and Josh patted my back comfortingly.
"The doctor was certain, am I even ready for this? I didn't even recognise it for over a month!" I groaned rubbing my forehead, I took a sip of the coffee before spitting it back out running to the sink I downed a cup of water.
"Does Simon have any idea? You've been feeling sick almost everyday." Josh turned around on his chair to face me where I was now stood leaning against the sink shaking my head.
"He thinks its because of Vik's death," I looked down to the floor, my eyes falling into a gaze with the reflection of light on the tiled flooring, I missed Vik he was so kind. "Even if he did, I couldn't live my life like this anymore it's how he makes a living." I sighed placing my hands against my stomach I rubbed it lightly, "I want the best for my child, not what I grew up in."
I thought back to when I first realised I was pregnant, I panicked more thinking I was behind the reason it would have no father. But it was definitely Simon's, the doctor was sure of it. "Elise, he's been wanting to start a new life since we lost Vik, We've all been planning to," Josh smiled, "Vik would've wanted it as well." He sighed as his smile faltered thinking about his old housemate and best friend.
The door unlocked and Simon walked through the door with a bag of shopping, he placed the bags on the counter and began unpacking. "We'll leave you and dad to it." Jorja laughed tugging at Josh the pair left the room in different directions.
"Hey! Josh is the only daddy around here!" Simon laughed placing the milk in the fridge.
Josh reappeared sticking his head round the doorway, "I wouldn't be so sure about that if I was you." He giggled before disappearing. Simon laughed a little before rethinking what Josh had just said, oh shit.
He carried on unpacking, his face remained a mixture between confusion and concentration before he finally spoke up, "What did they mean?" He stopped and turned around to face me with furrowed eyebrows. I shifted nervously avoiding eye contact I folded my arms. "Elise, what's happened."
He moved closer to me putting his arms around my waist he brought me closer to him, I released my arms placing them lightly on to my belly, "I'm so sorry." I whispered feeling ashamed of myself. He didn't say anything at first, Simon pulled me closer to him he stroked my hair softly.
"I can't believe it," He whispered, I was about to speak up before he spoke louder, "I'm going to be dad!" His smile widened as he lifted me up and spun around. I giggled at his excitement as he placed me back down I pressed my lips against his firmly.
"Simon, we can't live like this, having to watch our backs twenty four seven, killing people, get beaten up. I don't want this baby to end up like I did." I looked up at him fearing what he would say, he began to laugh lightly.
"Elise, my family had a house in Kent, it was a nice neighbourhood and it was a pretty big house, I inherited it. It would be perfect for a baby; I promise we can work this out." He smiled at me once again. He smiled at me before leaving the room,
"Oh and I won't miss going out at night either, I'll just get lost in your eyes."
