The punching bag was flying everywhere as Eden released her fury. To say that she was mad would be an understatement. Imagine you stole my pen angry, versus you slaughtered my entire family angry. Do you see the difference. Eden was so mad she couldn't even feel anything anymore, all she could feel was her fists smashing into the bag. There was no barrer in between her skin and the bag. Eden felt like she could beat up fifty thugs and still not feel satisfied. Eden's anger terrified her. She didn't want to revert back to when she killed, but at the same time it was tempting. Eden ripped her mask off her face and continued to punch, putting all her rage into her puches until the rope holding the punching bag broke. Eden yelled furiously.
"COME ON YOU PIECE OF SHIT!" She yelled, kicking the bag. Damian walked down the steps of the Batcave to see Eden kicking the punching bag that was now on the floor. Eden turned around at the sound of foot steps. She took a glance at Damian and her eyes immediately hardened.
"Leave right now or I swear to god, I will hang you upside-down and you will be my punching bag," Eden threatened dangerously.
"I did some research," Damian said, ignoring Edens threat. "You used to be a villain."
"No," Eden corrected. "I wasn't a villain I was an Anti-hero, there is a difference." Damian walked over to Eden.
"You have killed people," he stated.
"And you haven't?" Eden shot back. Eden knew that Damian had killed people and Damian knew that Eden had killed people they were at a stale mate. "Look are you going to keep saying things I already know or are you going to leave?"
"Why did you stop killing people?" Damian asked, ignoring Eden.
"It's none of your business," snapped Eden.
"It is if we are going to work together," He shot back. Eden sighed, she knew what he was doing, it was exactly what Eden would do. Get background information on someone to know any of their possible weaknesses.
"I didn't want to end up like my parents," Eden muttered, her head lowering. "Harley Quinn, Catwoman and Poison Ivy took me in one day, when- let's just say my mother was 'unavailable.' They looked out for me. And that's all you need to know." Damian walked over to Eden calmly.
"What about your father?" Damian asked with no emotion.
"Dead," Eden stated simply. "And he's better that way, believe me." Eden looked around the room for some more rope to hang up the punching bag. She spotted some by the computer and walked over.
"I know what you're doing, " said Eden snatching the rope. "And let me tell you this now. I have no weaknesses. So you can stop looking for one." Damian's face gave nothing away as he continued his clam, uncaring demeanor. Eden walked back over and tied the rope to the punching bag. She tied up the punching bag, starting to hit it again.
Damian watched Eden punch, trying to find a flaw in her technique, but he couldn't find any, the way she positioned her hands, the spacing in between her feet, were all perfect. Eden could easily a break bones without needing to use much force. Her technique was practiced. The only problem was the hair that fell on her face, slightly obscuring her vision. After a while Eden stopped punching and turned to Damian.
"Do you want to spar?" Eden asked pulling her collapsible sword from her side. Damian scoffed slightly and walked over to somewhere in the batcave to retrieve his sword. Eden walked into the middle of the Batcave where there was a large clear space. Eden watched as Damian walked over. "Ready?"
"Ready when you are," he replied. They both took a step back and started circling each other, like wolves. Damian stepped forward and swung his sword. Eden blocked it and puched it back. They continued circling each other. This time Eden moved. She swung towards Damian's head, but he blocked, Eden broke her sword away and aimed for his stomach, Damian blocked again. Eden kicked him in the stomach pushing him back before she charged forwards again. Their swords clashed as the angry sound of metal filled the room. Eden's eyes narrowed as she focused, sweat starting to form on her brow. Damian stabbed towards her stomach and Eden blocked, curling her sword around the hilt of his sword and flinging it out of his hand. The sword skittered across the room and Damian was unarmed, but that didn't stop him. Damian charged forward, but Eden kicked Damian in the stomach, forcing him to double over. Damian looked up to Eden's sword resting dangerously at his throat. Eden smirked at Damian, which fulled his ever growing anger. Damian swept Eden's feet out from under her sending her to the floor, her sword flying out of her hand. Damian got down and straddled Eden, but was not able to get her hands down. Eden grabbed the front of Damian's Robin suit and threw him over her head. Eden jumped to her feet and ran over to the stairs that led to a higher part of the Batcave. Eden ran up the railing with incredible balance, Damian right behind her. Eden jumped off the rails and on to the platform. She turned around to see Damian flying at her with a kick. Eden sidesteped and turned. Eden was about to strike when Damian punched her in the stomach. Eden doubled over, but used that to her advantage. Right before Damian was going to strike Eden punched him in the stomach and popped up. Eden kicked but Damian caught it and sent her to the floor. From the floor Eden kicked up and sent Damian flying into the glass behind them. Eden shot up and grabbed Damian pushing him further into the glass. Damian used his elbow to hit Eden in the stomach, making her losen her grip. Damian kicked, landing another hit to Eden's stomach. Eden growled, her eyes shooting daggers. She ran at Damian and at the last second flipped over him, landing gracefully and kicking Damian sending him flying into the rails that surrounded the platform they were standing on. Eden furiously ran over and pulled Damian's cape over his head, punching him in the stomach before pushing him over the railing. Damian escaped his cape that was wrapped around him and used it to slow the fall, but it didn't do much as he still landed roughly. Eden flipped off the railing at landed on the floor in a roll. Eden looked around and saw that Damian was back on his feet and they were both back on the same spot they started in, both of them panting heavily in exhaustion, sweat dripping from their faces.
"That-" Panted Eden. "Was probably the best fight I have ever had with anyone." Eden smiled genuinely for the first time at Damian.
"Unfortunately I have to agree," Damian said, the ghost of a smile on his face.
"Why don't you say we call it a draw," suggested Eden. Damian said nothing, he look as though he was contemplating something.
"Fine, but I want another round later," ordered Damian.
"We can have another round anytime,"Eden said, a smile still on her face. "But now I'm hungry, do you want to grab a burger."
"You're paying," Damian claimed. Eden and Damian heard clapping from the other end of the Batcave, their heads whipped around to see Bruce standing with a tiny smile on his face and Dick standing next to him clapping and wiping a fake tear from his eye.
"How long have you been there?" Asked Damian.
"Since you started sparring," answered Batman. Damian and Eden glared harshly.
"How did we not notice that?" asked Eden, turning to Damian. Damian shrugged. "Anyway do you want to join us for burgers?"
"No, no, no, we have very important work" lied Dick. "Besides we wouldn't want to interrupt your date."
"It's not a date," Growled Damian.
"I just really want a burger," Eden said, as her stomach growled in hunger. "See and my belly agrees." Dick smirked at them and Eden rolled her eyes.
"Well, I'm going to go home and get changed" Said Eden gesturing to her Black Sparrow suit. "I'll meet you at Bobby John's Diner in twenty minutes." Eden walked up the stairs leaving the Batcave.
"Good luck on your date," Dick called up to Eden.
"It's not a date," Eden yelled back, before finally leaving the Batcave, and for the first time in a long time Eden felt genuinely happy.
