Opals pov...
My mom runs over to me and pulls me to the door.
"HENRY LEAVE NOW WE DONT WANT YOU HERE IF YOU HAVEN'T ALREADY REALIZED IT!"
"FINE BARBRA BUT IMAGINE HOW OPAL FEELS. YOUR TAKING HER FATHET AWAY FROM HER AGAIN AFTER SEVEN YEARS. SEVEN YEARS BARB!"
"JUST GET OUT!" I yell at him and he exits back out through my window.
"Opal how about you sleep in my room I'll seep on the couch."
"Uhhmmm okay."
I walk down the hall to my moms room and sit on her bed. I put my hands over my face.
He doesn't understand how much he hurt me. Both mentally and physically. Weird sounds like what I did to Jake. I wipe away my tears that I didn't even know we're there and lay down.

In the morning...
I wake up and go back to my room. I see my phone on the nightstand. I stare at it for a sec wondering if Jake texted me last night. Even though I want to know I should get dressed first so... I do.
I put on a black shirt that's really long and tie the side of it with a hair tie I pair that with denim shorts that have lace on the sides.
For makeup all I do is a nude lipstick with mascara.
I look at the time 7:35.
I grab my phone and my backpack.
My mom calls me down stairs.
"Honey cmon your gonna be late!"
I grab my crutches and try to get down the stairs.
I get in the car and put my crutches in the back seat.

At school...
I walk through the doors of Yale and see some girl reject the new kid Jason. The only thing that I can think at that moment is

I look at the at my phone to check for any text messages from Jake... There are none. Maybe I'll see him. My main class is for cosmetology it may not seem like it but I really am into that stuff.
I get to class a few minutes early.
Right before the bell I see the new girl walk in. She sits down and then the teacher walks in and takes attendance.
After attendance...
I walk over to the new girl to introduce myself maybe I could actually have a friend in this school.
"Heyyyyyyyyyy! I think your new here!I haven't seen you here before! I'm Opal!"
