Part 6:Its my fault

------------------------------------------------------------- I wake up and see my mom sitting next to me.
"Honey your awake how are you feeling?"
"Huh wha...Where am I?"
"Your at the hospital oh I hope you remember me at least."
"What of course I do but what happened to me?"
"You were in a horrible car accident. How do you feel?"
"I'm fine just a little sore but other than that I'm ok."
"Oh good."
The doctor walks in and signals my mom out of the room. She gets up and looks at me as she walks out.
"So Opal you were in a car accident."
"So I was told."
"Ok well you have a broken leg but that's about it you will be fine but as for whoever was in the car with you also has a broken arm but he will be ok."
"Oh my god Jake where is he?"
"He is two rooms down the hall."
"Can I see him?"
"Sure." He hands me a pair of crutches that are next to my bed.
I get up and slowly limp to the door. The doctor opens the door and takes me to jakes room.
I walk in and see him laying in the bed. I stand over him and he opens his eyes and smiles.
"Jake I...I."he stops me.
"You don't need to apologize if anything I should be the one apologizing."
Tears form in my eyes as he says that.
"Jake no that accident was my fault it's my fault we are in the hospital, it's my fault you are hurt, so please please don't apologize because you may mean it but I know it's not true." He sits up and puts his hand on my face.
"Opal it's ok none of this was your fault if I weren't to  accept that dare we wouldn't ever be in this situation." The second he says that I can tell he regrets it.
"Jake please stop."
"Opal both of us know it's true."
"NO JAKE ITS NOT! Ever since I saw you standing in the courtyard I liked you. Meeting you wasn't a bad thing. So Jake please stop and take a second to realize the way me and you feel right at this exact moment."
He stares at me in shock.
"Opal I didn't know that" I stop him.
"Jake I knew that you didn't know because you never took time to realize it but this morning at your house I thought you figured it out."
"Opal I knew this morning was special but I didn't think that you thought that it actually meant something."
"Jake are you saying it didn't mean anything to you."
"No Opal that morning I realized that I have real feelings for you."
"Well than what was the dare?"
"Opal please don't make me talk about that right now things are to hard."
My mom walks in the room.
"Opal sweetie we can go home now are you ready?"
"Yes mom I'll be right there." I say that with my back facing her so she doesn't see my tears.
"Ok hurry please."
I hug Jake and wipe the tears from my eyes.

Jakes pov...
I watch Opal leave the room and stare at the door be shut. I wonder what her mother will think with us. I hope that Opal won't tell anyone about what happened within the past two days.

I walk to my moms car and pause. She stares at me from the other side on the car.
"Everything ok Opal?"
"Yeah. I'm going to sit in the back with my crutches."
"Okay."

So another shorter chapter but longer than some. I very much enjoyed writing this chapter idek anymore but it seems ok. Still go check out LINAS story it's fab so uhh yeah that's all I have to say byeeeeee!
