Addison's Pov:

The door opened and Thorn was made to leave. Two guards dressed in black took him, to where I have no idea. When he was gone, I looked to Penny. "Why can't he leave?", I asked. "I'm not sure...as far-fetched as it may sound....I think Thorn has something he's not telling us", Penny responded. "But, that doesn't make any sense...he basically poured his heart out to us about his whole life earlier. His story seemed to add up, I don't know what he could be hiding", I shook my head. "I don't know...but he doesn't seem exactly excited about 1) getting R.J. busted, or 2) getting the chance to escape. That is the part that doesn't add up....I mean, we've only been here for a couple of days?, and God knows we're ready to get back home, he should feel like it's only right that he gets his justice, to go home. But he doesn't seem to care if he gets to leave or not. There's no logical way he likes it here, I know I sure don't..speak for yourself, but I can't stand it", Penny explained. I thought about it for a minute, and it really didn't make sense. "Maybe you're right,", I shook my head, and then looked around the room desperately. It wasn't until now that I realized how hungry I really was. "Pen...how long has it been since we last ate?", I asked, rubbing my aching stomach. She was about to answer when the large, metal door rose up once again, and RJ Michaelson came into the room, leaving the door open behind him. As if on cue, he says "Are you girls hungry?", devilishly. I nodded, and Penelope did the same after a quick eye roll. "Well, follow me to the mess hall", he said, turning on his heels and motioning for us to follow suit. I looked at Penny, who looked back my way, we both shrugged and sighed before following him.

But when we got out into the short hallway outside of our room, we were met by four guards. They took our hands behind our backs, and handcuffed us. Handcuffed us. As if we were prisoners.

It was then that I realized we were prisoners.

We were all prisoners of hope.
