"THORN! NO! LET ME GO. THORN PLEASE, DON'T LET THIS HAPPEN. DON'T LET THEM DO THIS!", I begged whilst having convulsions and tears flowing down my pale face. I, once again, was being dragged away from my sister by the same ugly, black-suit clad men from the white vans. Still in this terrible place, still wearing this awful, orange jumpsuit.  I was trying to do three things at once...stop crying, get Thorn to help me instead of just standing and watching me suffer, and get to Addison again.

That's all I needed to do right now; and for a brief moment in time, I had had a hope that Thorn would take these guys for what they were and actually save me and Addie...

But, as I said before...that moment of hope...it was brief.
It was brief, because when I looked up, I saw Thorn smirking deviously, though I couldn't quite decipher why at the moment.

"Th--Thorn...help me.", I pleaded.

He opened his mouth to speak, but I really wish with everything in me that he hadn't have done so, because of what he said.

He looked straight at me with his dark, troubled eyes and said: "Oh, Penelope. I would love to offer you some help, you see? But unfortunately...I'm all caught up with helping these nice men right now."

And then he laughed. A could; devipus laugh that chilled my very bones.

And when he stepped closer to me, my whole body rattled at the core because of the malicious, roaring noise that was being emitted from his body.

I heard Addie calling for me from behind him, but I couldn't see her...considering the demon of a boy who was in front of me, obstructing my vision of anything past him.

"Penny! Penny! Penny!!!", I heard as my body was still being shaken. "PENELOPE!", Addison yelled. I felt another tear slip out of my cheek...my body going numb from rattles and fear....

And then my eyes popped open.

"Penny...you're sweating..and...crying?", a tear was wiped from my cheek, and I was slightly embarrassed. "Let me guess. Bad dream?", Addie looked at me funny.

"More like a nightmare...but I guess I deserved it if you put into consideration the fact that I shouldn't have even been asleep anyway...", I shrugged. "I must have just drifted off while we were waiting for Thorn to come tell us that the coast was clear to...I'm sorry..."

"You did drift off...but don't worry about it. Thorn just left again a few minutes ago to go back to his cell-room in time for the guards to come by and check if we're still here. They came by here a minute or two before yoy woke up, so he should be back pretty soon......But, yeah...it's fine..him and I have just been talking about what all we're gonna do as soon as we break out of here for good.", Addison gestured to the walls around us with her fingers.

"Oh.", I plainly state.

"Yeah. Hey, did you know that Thorn has a crush on someone?", she says, pushing a piece of fallen hair behind her ear and returning to the old teenager mode we had both had before any of this happened.  Before we were illegally imprisoned.

I swallow hard.

"Really?"

"Yeah."

"Di--did he happen to tell you her name...?" I wasn't entirely sure yet...but I thought I may have began to like him.  As in, like him.

"Nope..but, apparently, he can't wait to get back to his hometown and see her...he had talked about her almost the entire time he and I were talking earlier. He seems to really like her, though.", she shrugged.

"Oh." I repeat.

My heart sank to the pit of my stomach as I came to the realization of one thing clearly...

Thorn did not have any emotions towards me...but I sure as heck had an extreme amount of emotions towards him.

And it hurt.

I heard footsteps, and my eyes darted quickly from their fixated place on my hard, wooden bed frame, to the doorway; where Thorn stood, a smirk plastered upon the skin on his face. The haunting memory of my nightmare--of the devilish smirk and his cold, demented, haunted eyes replayed in my mind. My body suddenly ached again, and for some unforeseen reason, I was introduced to a new fear. I lookes at him and let myself breathe once more...a sigh of relief. This wasn't the same kind of smirk: this smirk made me curious...

"Ready?", he said, smiling barely from the corners of his mouth.

Both Addison and I looked at him and nodded slowly...but I really felt like saying--

Talia's POV:

"No..no way..."

I shivered with a horrendous feeling.
