Moonlight Glow chapter 2
I wake up in the morning feeling immensely happy. I guess it's because I've had amazing sleep here in Stefan's mansion, and because i've had an amazing, and peaceful week.
I look at my alarm clock to see that
it's 6:00 AM. I yawn loudly and stretch my arms and back.
I groggily jump out of bed, shuffling over to the dark, curtains drawn by the window. I open them slowly, and I look out the window to see the dull sunlight, and barely conspicuous fog. Sliding open the glass window, the cool early morning breeze starts to fill the room. I hear the tweets of birds somewhere in the distance, but they are nowhere in sight. That's a new one for me.
I grab some clothes from my closet and saunter straight into the bathroom. I absolutely love starting the day with a nice shower. As I step into the relaxing, warm water, I let my thoughts rummage to the events of last night.
I received an E-Mail from my older brother, Justin. I've missed him so much.
Justin moved out of our home as soon as he was legal, because he didn't like the things that would go on. He is in all honesty, the best brother anyone could wish for. We still contact each other often by calling each other, texting, or skyping, but it's still not the same as if I could actually see him in person, and spend quality time with him. Justin moved to Chicago 4 years ago, so I don't see him much. He only visits a few times a year. But that's why I'm so happy right now. In the E-Mail that I received last night, Justin said that he misses me and will be visiting me sometime near Christmas since that's when he will be on winter break. Christmas isn't too far off. It's just two months away.
I can't wait to finally see him, but I feel kind of bad that I haven't told Justin about my living arrangement yet. He probably won't like the idea of me staying at Stefan's house- Even if it is only for a few days a week.
I definitely won't wait until he gets here to tell him about it, because that would make him even more pissed than my living arrangement itself.
I will tell him soon, but I hope doesn't make too much of a big deal about it since he knows how our parents are. His opinion matters to me, and I want his approval.
The only people that know about this 'arrangement' are of course Stefan and I, my parents... -I hope Stefan told his parents- My best friends Lyndsey Clay, and Sophia walker, and Stefan's best friend, Spencer Clay, who just so happens to be Lyndsey's older brother.
None of them are the gossipy type of people, so I'm pretty sure that no one else knows, and I'm planning to keep it that way.
If people at school hear about it, then they will most likely start rumors about us sleeping around, so... Yeah, they won't be hearing about this arrangement any time soon. Well, at least they won't be hearing it from my mouth.
It's been a week since my first night staying here, and Things have gotten so much easier for me. This mansion is extremely huge, there are three spacious floors, a basement, and of course the huge back patio. I was surprised that all of the rooms in the house, -well all the ones I actually took the time to open- have furniture in them. Since my and Stefan's rooms are on the second floor, I was curious as to what was on the third floor, it was much more complex in it's structure than the second floor.
While I was looking around the third floor, I found a place that I can go to for privacy- it's a large balcony, outside, with an oval shaped stone wall, the balcony is guarded by sliding glass doors. It's very peaceful and quiet, especially when it's really early, because the weather is slightly cold and windy, yet warm and relaxing. The balcony, being on the third floor is high above the ground, but, luckily I'm not afraid of heights.
