Chapter Nineteen ~ Nathan's Here?

Neko Chan POV:

It had to be around 10 in the morning when Nogla ran into my room, wearing a robe.
I rolled over to look at him.
"What Daithi? What are you doing in here?" I asked.
"Neko Chan, Neko Chan, Neko Chan." He said.
I looked at him.
"What??"
He closed his eyes and covered his mouth with his hand.
"Daithi? Come sit down next to me." I sighed, sitting up and looking at him.
I put my lilac bangs behind my ear once again, because they were getting in my face and were awfully messy from the night before.
He sat down next to me on he bed and went silent.
"What's wrong?" I asked.
He sighed.
"I had sex with Lui last night."
He looked at me.
My mouth was open and my eyes were wide.
I couldn't help it.
"Nogla!" I said.
He groaned.
"I know! I'm sorry! When Macie gets back, she's going to kill me, she's going to take my head and crack it in half! She's gonna be so pissed and she'll tell me to-" He started panicking, standing up and walking back and forth.
I sighed and stood up, still in my cat pajamas, and walked over, grabbing his face in my hands.
"Stop, chill. Snap out of it." I said, trying to get him to collect himself again.
"Neko Chan, what do I do?" He asked, worried.
I sighed.
"Nogla, I doubt Macie is going to come back. I'm sure he knows she isn't either." I said.
"Why do you think that?" He asked me.
"He had sex with you, Daithi, he's ready to move on." I said, smiling, like it was obvious.
He shook his head.
"She was on his mind while he was on mine. He thought of her the whole damn time. He is lonely. And he's stressed. The only reason this all happened was because he needed to be comforted and I came to his door, at the wrong time, really, and he doesn't even give a shit about me. He just needed something to get his mind off her. And when she comes back, I'll be replaced again, and all alone and miserable and then he wouldn't want me, he wants her..." He almost started crying on my bed.
I sighed and put an arm around him.
"Nogla, I can't promise you everything will be okay. But I can promise you that these things do happen, and it isn't your fault. It's nobody's. It isn't Macie's, or yours, or even Lui's. You guys are all lonely right now. And you'd do anything to get that out your head."
I almost rocked him, like a baby.
He grew silent and then nodded.
"You're right. It was all just a mistake."
I smiled.
"Daithi, he loves you."
He sighed and stood up heading back out.
"Not enough though."

Keegan POV:

"This is what I wanted you to see."
I grabbed Skylar's hand and pulled.
Past the tree, past the burnt down house.
To the shed.
"Don't close the door, we need the light." I told Skylar.
She nodded and propped the door open with a rock.
We walked through the abandoned shed to the very back.

"There it is." I said, smiling.

"Our father's grave."

Marilyn POV:

"Is everyone ready?" I asked.

Over the past few weeks, I'd assembled multiple hitmen.

Of course I still had Markis, Pilot, Alliah, and Max.
Max never said anything, he was a quiet one.
Brian would do anything for me, I was certain.
And as much as I hated to say it, I'd do the same for him.
Warren, one of my best men, had died not too long ago.
And my other personal favorite, Sean, had died with him as well.
Aullie was shot in the foot.
She refused to tell me who killed them.
She gave me a simple warning from whoever killed the other two.
I was furious.
Who would do this to her?
Why would they kill Warren, sweet, innocent Warren?
And then Jack? What had he done?
Who is this?
Who's coming for me?
I smiled.
That's what Nicole must've thought.
But if this mysterious person isn't any better than me, there's nothing to worry about.
Let's just carry on with our business.

There are new hitmen in town...

Lewis, Kristen, Marlee, Ariel, Maple, and Julia.

They better not fail.

Nicole POV:

We'd all gathered in the living room now.
Everyone was together.
We'd been together since we heard about another threat of Marilyn showing up.
Hannah wouldn't leave and Neko had stayed because she didn't take up much space as a cat.
This being my house we were staying in, I made the arrangements.
So of course I knew about where Daithi spent the night last night.
Was I concerned?
No, but yes.
Cornered about all of them in a way that they might hurt one another.
But last night, they didn't worry about that.
They should've.
Riley was doing well now, as she was about to hit the two month mark. She could lift her head a tiny bit now, and I took her outside often. She could hear me completely and recognize my face.
She was still tiny.
During the nights, Mini and Tyler would stay at their house, but from the crack of dawn to almost midnight, the duo would be over here in this house.
Now that we knew how strong Marilyn is, we will stay together, and hopefully overtake her.
Hopefully.
Riley was in my arms.
I would almost never let go of her anymore.
This poor child.
What did she do to have a mother like me?
Luke came into the room, smiling.

"Nathan's here."

"Macie, come on. We have to go." I said to the girl.

She sighed.

"I'm scared."

I nodded. "Me too, don't worry. I'll protect you, I promise."
