Fred WeasleyxReader ~Dare~

So I made this an AU that doesn't take place in the Harry Potter world xD I haven't really gotten into Harry Potter, BUT I did try my best to keep Fred in character. I'm sorry if I mess him up. ;-; Please don't kill me.

~Dare~

The day was cloudy and made you feel a bit sad that it hadn't been sunnier. You were on your way to an amusement park with one of your best friends, Fred Weasley. Today was a bit bittersweet due to the circumstances of it. Fred and his twin brother, George, had a dare and Fred had lost. You had laughed at first, but soon you were inwardly cussing. You had the hugest crush on Fred. You were super ecstatic about the date, but sad at the same time. You didn't ant this to just be a dare. Yeah, you had done stuff like this with Fred before, but never just the two of you. George and Fred were practically inseparable so you never really got alone time with him. The fact that you finally got alone time with him and it was the result of a lost dare just made you downright depressed. 

There was an uneasiness in the air that you couldn't quite put a finger on. Today was supposed to be exciting because it was your first time at an amusement park and Fred was finally going to be alone with you, but you just couldn't shake the nervous feeling that something was up. As you waited at the entrance, the nervousness just build more and more. Finally, from the crowd of people, you saw the familiar mop of orange hair that belonged to Fred. 

He excitedly jumped up and down as he made his way up to you, grinning goofily the whole way.

"Aren't you excited (Y/N)? You get to go on a date with the best guy ever." 

You looked at him, rolling your eyes. "You should be the excited one. Guys kill to go out with me." You gave a quick comeback.

He shook his head, joking back. "You wish. The only guys killing to go on a date with you are nerds like Percy." 

You laughed at the mention of his older brother and shook your head, giving up. This was one of the reasons you had grown feelings for Fred; you could joke around with him without having to worry.

"Whatever, you'll be eating those words by the end of today."

He raised and eyebrow. "Mmmhmm suuuuure."

"Let's go get in line? I have our tickets already."

"Yep, let's go!" 

You both walked into one of the shorter lines and waited for your turns to come. It was a crowded space and a light blush spread to your cheeks at how close you were to Fred. He was only a few centimeters away from you, enough to have your heart racing. Fred raised an eyebrow, looking at you.

"Nervous?"

"Wha- me? Nah."

He chuckled quietly. "Whatever you say." 

After a few more minutes of waiting in line, the person in front of you suddenly backed up. They bumped into you and you lost your balance, falling backward. You clenched your eyes shut, expecting the hard ground to meet you, but instead you were met with the soft touch of a toned chest. 

"Woah there (Y/N). Careful, don't want you getting hurt before our date even begins."

Your face turned completely red as you realized who was holding you. Fred looked down at you, smirking mischievously at seeing your blush. You quickly got yourself together and stood up straight, removing yourself from his arms.

"Th-thanks Fred."

Before you knew it, you were both at the entrance. You handed both your tickets to the ticket taker and stepped inside the enormous park. You looked at the map, trying to find your way around.

"Where do you wanna go first?" You asked, gesturing to the map.

"Hmm, how about here." He pointed to one of the bigger roller coasters that was just up ahead. 

You looked at him, eyes widening. "That one?" 

"Yeah, why not? I know how much you love heights." He teased you, making fun of your fear of heights.

"Ha ha very funny."

"Come on (Y/N). It'll be fun, plus I'll be there to protect you."

The blush from earlier returned and you just nodding, giving up to him. You started to make your way towards the huge monstrosity and soon felt a hand intertwine its fingers with yours. It surprised you when you saw who the owner of the hand was. 

"F-Fred?" You stopped walking. 

He rubbed the back of his head nervously, avoiding eye contact with you. "Well, it is supposed to be a date right?"

You just enjoyed the feeling of his hand in yours and continued walking. You felt like maybe, just maybe, there was a small chance he felt just as nervous as you did and that made you feel so much happier.

The rest of the day went by like a blur with no incidents. You had so much fun that you forgot all about the fact that this whole date was a lost dare. As the day made it to a close, you grinned and hummed, sitting down at a bench. 

"That was so fun! We should do it again some other time."

"Yeah let's. I never realized how much fun it would be to hang with just you."

That's when you remembered it was all just a stupid dare. "Oh. Yeah same here Fred..."

You gave him a fake smile and sighed internally, knowing he probably didn't feel the same as you. You rubbed your arm nervously and looked at your lap.

"Hey, what's wrong? Sad for this day to end?" He teased you more.

You looked at him, rolling your eyes, your feelings starting to burst after building up inside you for so long. "Yeah, so? Is that so wrong of me?"

He got a serious look that was weird for a mischievous boy like him.

"Woah, where's this coming from?"

"It's cause I like you idiot!" You quickly clamped your hand over your mouth, looking away and mumbling a quick sorry.

"Wait, what?! Are you being serious?"

"Yes I'm serious, and I know you'll never feel the same. The only reason you even came today was because of that stupid dare. I thought for most of the day that, maybe, just maybe you could feel the same, but ugh... I'm so dumb. Forget I said anything."

"(Y/N)... I- I'm sorry, I didn't know..."

"No it's ok. I'm the one at fault." You slowly calmed down, blushing as you realized you had just confessed everything.

"No, you aren't. I just shat all over your feelings with this date... I'm so sorry. I'm such a dumbass."

"Fred... You didn't know, you couldn't have. I never even alluded to it."

Fred slowly pulled you into a side hug.

"If it makes you feel any better, I feel the same..."

"L-liar... The only reason you came on your own was cause of the dare with George." 

"No! I'm being serious stupid. George knew that I liked you. He thought I was stupid for not saying anything sooner and told me this was my chance. Even if I hadn't lost, I probably would have come with you."

You stayed quiet, your face completely red at the sudden confession.

"Forgive me?" He made you look up at him.

"Y-yes. How could I not?"

He smiled and kissed your forehead then leaned back, winking at you.

"Guess earlier literally had you falling for me."

"Oh shush." You laughed, completely cheering up.

I am so sorry. ;-; This xreader was horrible. I think it could have been better, but this is what you'll get for now. Thank you for reading guys and hope you enjoyed even though this wasn't as good as the other chapters.
