11.In Effect

"Quare you need to pay attention before you get detention miss."Said Mrs.Wegner.

I just shrugged my shoulders and dotted down the notes. I live with my mom in a small rundown house. I try to avoid going home especially when mom is drunk but I still love her. My dad left to be with his other family when I was two and know I am sixteen.

'Today we have a new student Denolõs Galin."Said the teacher.

She told him to sit next to me and most of the girls were giving me glares. I looked back at them with a blank stare

"Holã, me llama Denolõs. Como estas señorita. Quieto años tienes¿"Denolõs asked.

Hi I am Quare,also I am 16.' I said blushing.' And Muchas gracias Señor Denolōs' I said.

(The answer are not in order I will post a dictionary if you dont know what it means)

"Okay class we have a project about the earths core and how it stablize the earth's movement also I want you to work with your shoulder partners now begin or there will be alot of detention I will be handing out."Said Mrs. Wegner.

We discussed our Earths Core projects that would be due next month. We had to find if the earths core can shift if so how, and other nonsense. We decided to use a PowerPoint instead of paper like the others.

When class ended we all exited the class as quick as we can. Turns out all our classes were the same which made me blush again. 'What does he think of me'I thought to my self.

Me and Denolõs decided for our free period we'd go to the library to start making the PowerPoint presentation. Shortly after lunch me and Denolõs entered the Library and headed to the computers. The librarian was watching the news:

"Storm warnings are in effect for all of London and Africa. High winds are coming in strong tornadoes are being spotted in weird places. We are evacuating Manhattan,New york, Maine, North and South Carolina in threats of high waters and hurricanes not even recorded.We also have somemore information that part of the storm left a nother devestation in a town called Hansvane 5 houses were found with people who were hanging from stairs or had slit throats even children. We will keep you informed on this crazed weather."Said the news anchor.

"Dear god what is going on." Said the librarian.

I then got a text from my mom saying she is going to come pick me up. When I looked up Denolõs had a sad face on. He said his parents all ready left for South Dakota. I hurriedly text my mom if she wouldn't mind taking him with us she said okay.

We grabbed our stuff and left and got into my moms Dodge F150. Mom said we are going to our dads house in Brimwood, Mississippi. Yes mom kept in contact with him. He said it was all right for us to stay with him and his family. It took is five days to get there and I was beat tired.

Mom was tired too she didn't sleep just kept on driving. As for Denolõs he just sat there looking sad at the window. How can someone leave there son and leave, just how and what kind of parents are they to leave him to fend for himself. Glad moms grateful enough to take him in and bring him with us.

I looked out the window and notice it was getting dark I checked my phone and it said 2:15 pm I kept looking but saw nothing. I was frightened after all. I looked at Denolõs he had the same expression on his face too, frightened just like me. I had a bad feeling.
We were almost there when a siren went off like a tornado siren, WAIT!?!?

It is a tornado siren. Mom grabbed us and luckily we were under a bridge. She laid down and protected us. I was scared. I had a whole life of planning and adventures.

"Mom I'm scared."I said yelling over the winds.

"It is okay hun If I die I want you to to run we are only about 3 minutes away."Mom said glazing my face.

I just sobbed as Deno rubbed my back as mom still protected us. The all of a sudden there it was a red tornado. It doesn't even look like an EF5 it looks more like an EF7.I was scared I tried to hide even more.Then I felt it the wind of the storm.

"MOM!.... ...Then darkness.......
