When you and I first met, I never imagined what you would come to mean to me.
The day as clear blue to me as the memory.
I still feel the cold winter breeze.
And I recall what it was like to meet for the first time.
Now soft music plays in the air.
When it temporarily stops, so does the twirling colors.
Cameras flashes,
laughter is heard, t
his is a night to remember.
"Mommy, "I cry into a pillow, "please come back."
My eyes water and I involuntary fall to my knees.
Those four months lasted a lifetime.
"--- positive." I run away in anger and fear.
But if you look now that red ribbon is proudly displayed to show things are okay.
If you ask I won't deny.
I can not change or cure the past.
