The other Swan

Chapter 6

I wake up bright and early on Wednesday morning. I get dressed in some skinny jeans and a red cropped long sleeve. I put on my sneakers and I got the bathroom, sharing the mirror with Bella.

I am so glad Bella and I made up last night. I saw those red eyes and she slept in the bed with me. It felt great to have my sister.

Bella and I arrive at school, I called and told Jacob Bella was drive me. But he is driving me somewhere after school.

I sit beside Jessica in Spanish class. The teacher is going over different Spanish phrases I already know.

Lunch is actually good for a change. Alice and Jasper are at my table. Again. Alice is amazing and is my closest friend at this school.

"Go sit somewhere else." Jessica says.

"What? Why?" I ask, hurt.

"You make us look bad." Jessica shrugs and shoos me.

"Come on. Let's get our own spot." Alice suggests.

"Okay." I'm still hurt that my friends banned me from their table.

"Be happy." Jasper says with a chuckle following shortly after the words.

"I will try, Jasper Hale." I whisper.

Alice sighs and she gets up. She walks over to her family and talks to Edward.

"Are you and Bella getting along now?" Jasper asks.

"Yes. We made up last night after I saw red eyes staring in my window." I say.

He freezes as soon as 'red eyes staring trough my window' comes out of my mouth. "I'm glad you made up." He says with gritted teeth.

"I didn't mean to upset you." I say quietly. I always make someone mad.

He calms down. "I'm not upset with you. I'm worried for your safety. As your friend." Jasper says.

I nod. Jasper is my friend? He is so hard to understand most of of the time. I guess this friendship will work.

Alice soon joins us back and Jasper tells her what I told him about last night.

"She will be okay, Jasper." She says soothingly. "Trust me." She whispers that part.

Jacob picks me up in the parking lot. It has started to drizzle.

"We are going to the beach in La Push." Jacob says.

I nod in reply and I continue to hold his hand tightly.

Jacob shoves me roughly into the sand and he climbs on top of me.

"Jake?" I whimper.

"Shut it !" He slaps me. (I know Jacob is a good guy, just play pretend)

I scream out, hoping someone hears me. Jacob slaps me again, causing me to whimper. I see him shoved off of me. I see a broad buy, a very hot broad guy. His facial structure is so darn hot.

"Jacob Black. I never knew you were like that." The guy says so calmly.

"I guess I was good at hiding it." Jacob shrugs like its nothing.

The guy loses calm and he punches Jacob square in the nose. "Touch another girl like that and you are Sam's."

Who is Sam? I don't ask because it really isn't any of my business, and I am too scared. The guy glances at me. "Let me take you home," he says and walks me to a 2014 Dodge pick up truck.

"Thank you. For helping me back there." I say.

"Not a problem." He replies. "Where do you live?"

"The Swan residence in Forks." I reply.

I see him visibly tense. "Okay." He replies.

"Thanks." I kiss his cheek before getting out. I see his shocked face as I shut the door.

I go inside and I tell dad what happened. Dad hugs me.

"At least the guy saved you." He says while rubbing my back.

"He..... Hey what happened?" Bella asks.

I turn to see her, and Edward. "Ja...." I break down in sobs. Bella holds me.

"Jacob tried to rape her." Dad says.

Bella gasps and holds me tighter. "What happened, Raven?" Bella whispers in my ear.

"He didn't get to it. Some tan guy saved me." I say. The guys face pops up on my head. "He drove me home. My hero did

"At least you're safe. Dad, can I bring her to the Cullen's tonight?" Bella asks.

"Go ahead." Dad waves us off and goes to order take out. Pizza, more than likely.

I grab a change of clothes and get in Edwards Volvo. "Nice car, Cullen." I say with a smirk.

"Thanks, Swan." Edward replies before Bella gets in.

Alice drags me upstairs. Seriously! This girl and dragging me around! We work on a dress Alice is designing for her store she dreams of opening.

"How does the lay out look?" Alice asks, showing me the sketch.

"Great. Let's get to it ." I say grabbing the black and purple fabric.

The dress turns out good, of course. Alice is an amazing designer. Alice brings me downstairs where Esme is coming. The Cullen kids and adults 'already ate', although I doubt that. Esme made chicken Alfredo.

When I finish, Alice says I can sleep in her room. I grab a quilt from her hamper and I step onto Alice's balcony and I sit on the edge.

"Hey sis." Bella says while joining me.

"Hey Bells." I say, laying my head on her shoulder.

We sit there for the longest time, just staring out into the night. We used to to do this, back in Arizona. When the sun went down and the temperature went down.

Bella helps me up and we walk inside. Edward is standing at Alice's doorway, smiling. "Just checking in. How are you doing, Raven?"

"I'm doing okay. Thanks." I smile and I lay in Alice's amazing bed. "This bed. Oh my monkey butt." I mutter.

Bella cracks up, obviously hearing me. Edwards shakes his head and says, "I'll leave y'all alone for bed." He then leaves.

Bella wraps her arms around me in a sisterly way. I love my twin. I relax in her arms and we fall sound asleep.
