I wake up to the sound of my annoying brother Caleb the nerd banging on the door telling at me to get up. "Tris hurry up will you the average high school student only sleeps around 5-8 hours and girl you way past that." What is he saying?! Why did my alarm not go off? Ooh because I broke it yesterday duhh.
I get up to take a shower which feels really good. When I get out I dry myself self off and see blood. Shoot im on my period. After I take care of that I quickly grab some clothes. I decide to actually look better today so i throw on a nice outfit (outfit above)
I then put my white converse grab my phone and head downstairs. My mom is down there and squeal. "HI MOM!" she smiles and hugs me. "Hi sweetie I am only here for 2 hours so..." I sigh and hug her again. She is never home and when she is it is a short amount of time. I always get upset when she says she's literally only going to be her for 2 hours.
"Well I have to get to school so bye love you mommy." she smiles and I leave. I jump into my truck and plug in the aux cord, I listen to the song Humble-Kendrick Lamar. I sing along and as I pull into the parking lot and Uriah comes running up to me. He then jumps on my back and I give him a piggy back ride to the sidewalk. Everyone is staring at us. "Het trissy poo!" I shoot him a death glare. I hate that name. I have to remember to not take out my sadness about my mom and dad leaving again on my friends. So smileee.
"What up Uriah pansycake Pedrad." he shoots me a glare and then we both crack up. Our group walks over and asks us whats so funny. "Nothing" I say casually. ˇhey just continue talking
As we walk to school they see Four and everyone starts walking towards him. I try to walk away and Marlene grabs my wrist and drags me with her. I groan and refuse to walk. So I sit down on the floor while she and Shauna drag me towards Four.
He gives me what the heck look and shoot him a death glare. He seems to notice and offers me hand up. I agree because I don't want to try and get up right now.As his hand touches mine there is automatic warmth and it gives me chills, i wonder if he felt it too or if I'm just crazy.
"Thanks" I say annoyed and happy. Shoot tris stop being mean he was trying to help. i smile and try and cover it up.
"No problem" he says casually while trying to hide a smile. I catch him checking me out and I walk away flirtatiously and Christina walking next to me. "First nice outfit. Secondly what was that! He was checking you out. He is into you." she says excitedly and I roll my eyes. I was walking like that as a joke she takes everything so seriously, i swear.
No one can like me my style is not awesome or anything it is normal. I am not pretty at least I don't think so. Why would a superstar Four be interested in me. Why do I care? He dosen't like me.
"Chris he doesn't like me I am not even pretty and I have not been nice to him." I say and her jaw drops. She is eyeing me like I am crazy.
"You don't think you're pretty but the rest of the world would disagree in a split-second!!. Secondly, that is why he is interested because you are not throwing yourself at him." she says sincerely. I roll my eyes she sees this and gets annoyed.
"Tris please for me try to be nice to him. He is obviously trying to be nice to you and drop the act you hate, make sure you be nice. Oh and every time you be mean I smack this rubber band that is on your wrist to make sure that you are punished and in pain." she says serioulsy and I roll my eyes and try to tske the rubberband off my wrist she grabs my hand and squeezes. It HURTS! "OWWW!! Christina that hurt please don't ever do that again."
Then she starts laughing and yells "THEN DON'T BE MEAN TO FOUR ANYMORE!!!" I get mad as she yells this for everyone to hear and Four looks over his shoulder he looks at me with his eyebrows raised and I shrug then turn around to walk towards him.
"So what was that?" he asks looking at me questioningly. I chuckle a little and say "I'm not aloud to be mean to you anymore or else I get hurt" I say and give him a small smile before walking away with Christina to class.
When we get to our table at lunch I immediately sit down and decide not to talk and just listen as Im eating my Dauntless Cake i let a piece slip when it was about to get in my my mouth and groan in anger. Everyone looks at me and I just keep looking down until Uriah says...
"Oh its that time of month is it?" I give him a what is wrong with you look and says "oh tris dosent know" he says in a whisper to everyone at our table and I bury my face in my hands. "Well tris when a girl gets to a certain age.."
"Uriah I swear iff you continue you will be the first boy to have one, and bonus, you get it in a new spot!, out of your nose." He blushes and everyone laughs. I look at Four and his smile is captivating. But then again so is everyone elses.
"Hey by the way party at my house tonight!" Zeke yells. I groan loudly and the girls squeal.
"Oh no tris you aint getting out of this one and we are going to buy you a new dress." she says excitedly and the boys laugh at me. Including Four, why do I notice him
"Please no I don't want to, you can come over right after school you can do my makeup and I will choose my outfit." And I walk out of the cafeteria to my house basically ditching and wait for the party, i can do this because all i have is art and then free period and Ms.Wu is chill and lets us miss a period every month once.
