A loud booming sound shook me from my slumber. My eyes shot open just in time to see something fly through my wall. I screamed loudly as a human collided into me. A tiny sound escaped my lips. The person adjusted their glasses and looked at me with sparkling eyes.
"Sorry about your house." They said in a calm even tone. His pinkish hair seemed almost untouched and I was completely stunned by the fact he wasn't dead. I looked at him my mouth gapping open. He was holding himself a couple centimetres from my body, with his free hand he closed my mouth.
I gulped and tried to find words to express my shock. He looked next to my bed and noticed my book shelf.
"Ah you like to read I see." He pondered aloud I just nodded my head a little too enthusiastically. His lips where shiny and pink and almost tender looking. I felt myself raising up to meet his lips, I tried to stop myself to have some rational thinking but all I wanted to do was kiss him. He turned his head back towards me our noses brushing, I froze as if being caught doing something illegal, I felt like a deer in the headlights.
"What's your name?" He asked breathing on me.
"I-I'm y/n" I stammered out quickly still frozen inches from him. He smiled softly.
"Pretty name." He whispered.
"Wh-Who are you?" I asked trying to keep my voice from cracking.
"Gowther." He replied evenly before looking at my books again. "Which one is your favourite?" I was upset that I didn't get more of an answer than just gowther. I looked over to my books and pondered his question for a moment.
"I like Rayearth." I finally answered. "It's a manga about three girls who-" he cut me off to finish my sentence,
"Are required to save the empress even though by doing so they kill the land." He knew the book and it sent my heart racing again. I nodded happily again.
"Y/n, tell me, what do you think of the sins?" His question was so absurd I almost didn't recognize he had asked one.
"P-pardon?" I stammered. He pushed himself up so he was sitting on my bed, I sat up too.
"The seven deadly sins, what do you think of them?" He repeated. I then suddenly remembered,
I looked up at the man above me. He was easily twice my size and his armour was shiny. The sin of lust stood above me. I dropped my teddy bear and started to cry he was huge and menacing and he had just killed my family. His weapon still brandished in his hand he moved towards me but I took off towards my grandmothers house hoping to stay alive.
I blinked back some tears and looked sternly at him.
"They killed my parents. I hate them." Gowther looked a little hurt at my words an it was only then I realized. "Gowther Goat sin of Lust..." The words left my lips like ghosts. I had fallen in love with the same sin that killed my parents. I tried to form words but Gowther put a finer to my lips.
"They attacked me first. I was only defending myself. " he told me. A mixture of hurt and disbelief flooded through my body and I wrapped my arms around him unable to stop myself from the flood work of tears. He patted my back only slightly hugging back.
Lust, lust! I'm an idiot! I fell for lust!
I shouted in my mind.
"I do apologize about your parents. They were brave."
I sniffled a little and let go of him.
"Yea...my dad was my hero, I always wanted to be just like him!" I giggled and I heard Gowther manage a small laugh. I looked up and saw him gazing at me with intent. My cheeks burned and I wanted to hide my face but I kept eye contact. Gowther leaned towards me and I towards him. We were centimetres apart.
"Hey, Gowther. Are you done yet? We've got work to do." Gowther like over and so did I. A small blonde boy stood there wearing a ripped up tavern uniform. His tattoo was just visible on his arm. A dragon. Wrath.
"Yes sorry Meliodas." Gowther stood and left through the hole he made"
Wrath winked at me and followed.
I watched the hole even after I knew the duo were well gone. I listened to the sounds of battle and wished I could go help them. So that's when I began training.
