The living room was a forest

The living room was a forest.

A forest of flowers, fruits, chocolates, muffins, and teddy bears, actually.

They were littered all around the floor, couches, tables, side-tables that getting herself to the front door was a struggle. Even her Mom, who dropped by earlier found it impossible to get to the kitchen, decided that the porch was spacious enough to hold lunch.

She felt annoyed and irritated. It had been a full three weeks and he thought he could win her heart back by showering her with gifts that made her living room like a maze that making her way up to her room in the middle of the night proved to be harder than usual?

But she had to admit, his efforts were impressive. Of course, one would think that showering a girl with flowers and what-nots aren't really impressive but after confessing to him all she had been carrying for nine months, after their tearful confrontation, eased the pain and hatred in her chest.

And to mention the fact that for the past few weeks, all he had been doing was taking her to dates, taking care of her when she had fallen ill because of the freezing weather-- and all she ever did was ignore him (of course, she was very aware that he was there), give him one word replies every time he'd ask her a question...

That she felt impressed.

But she was still thinking about all what he had said to her. What she had gone through was not easy. She was still waiting. What exactly, she didn't know. Maybe a sign... or the perfect moment.

Her phone rang. And she didn't bother checking the I.D. because who would be calling her at this hour except her dear younger brother.

"What, Matt?"

"Open your Twitter."

"I'm about to sleep, Matt. In case you haven't noticed it's midnight already."

"Just open you're f*ck*ng Twitter!"

She raised her eyebrows. Like her, her brother wouldn't swear unless the situation calls for it. Then, she scowled.

"Fine." she then ended the call.

On her way up to her room, she clicked the Twitter app and waited. She almost threw her phone against the wall because the app crashed twice which meant that either a hashtag had gone very trending or her phone was acting up. The latter was impossible so it meant the former was likely happening.

She checked the trending hashtags.

She almost fell down the stairs if it wasn't because of the railings that she gripped before she could break her neck.

She stared at the hashtag again.

Immediately, she went to his profile.
