                                                                     Chapter 2

    Jayden's POV

"I'm sorry you had to see that" I say as she stares at me in utter shock. I turn to look away, but she stops me by grabbing my hand reassuringly and telling me that its not about the appearance but the personality. Man why is she being so nice to me? " can I please ask you how you got those bruises? I mean if that's alright with you?" wow she is actually pretty which is what confuses me the most, as to why she is even being somewhat friendly to me. " not at all I'm just scared you will run away if I tell you, I uhm I got them from...." I didn't really know if I should tell her the truth but I figured since she has already seen them I have no choice. " its ok you can trust me I'm only concerned that's all" she says noticing that this is a hard topic for me. wow I'm being such a baby over this one question

Anastasia's POV

we sat there in silence for what seemed like hours when in reality it as just like a minute. all of a sudden Jayden broke away from my touch and went all quiet " it was my uh dad" he rushed out. what! how can his own father do that to his son, I mean come on Jayden cant even see out of his right eye and his jaw looks almost dislocated "what do you mean you dad did this to you! you don't deserve that at all" how could he hurt Jayden, his own son that is pure craziness, I fell so sorry for him right now.

Jayden's POV

I am so tempted to tell her exactly why I he did it but then she will definitely run away knowing it was over a stupid window. I think I can trust Anastasia at this moment she seems like a really nice girl and I don't want to be mean to her by ignoring her for too long " um.. ok here's the thing, at school my rugby coach told me I need more practice, but the thing is we don't exactly have a very large back yard for me to practice in and when I did try I kind of broke the window in my dads room...." she seems to actually be interested in this stupid brag of my home life I am confirmed when she speaks up " carry on?"  "he got over mad and started yelling at me about how stupid I was, he says he wishes I was normal, I got upset and ran away as far as I could and I came here knowing that my dad would never come looking for me here, and then I met a pretty girl named Anastasia" there I finally said it and I am kind of glad I did because I'm felling weird feelings in my stomach and I think I like her.

Anastasia's POV 

wow he told me all of that and he has a very abusive sounding father and the fact that he just told me what happened shows me that he kind of trusts me, because if that were me and someone asked me about something like that would never come clean about it, well at least not to a compete stranger anyways. "I'm so sorry you went through all that I never knew, I should go" I blurted out not knowing what else to say "No please stay its ok, um can I ask you something"........
