Chapter 8
Arriving at the castle I saw Noocah waiting for us in front of the castle door. “Hey, where have the 2 of you been? It’s late and dinner is ready.”
“We were just getting to know each other before training starts.” I said not very happy at all.
“Then you need to eat and get a good night rest. You have a big day ahead of you tomorrow.” Mom said very excited and honestly I have no idea what awaits me.
“Just don’t start with that. I’ve never had any training of some sort before...”
“Oh, she’s going to training, mom? This is gonna be epic! This I wanna see, see how she makes a fool of herself.” Said Noocah with a mischievous smirk on his face. I shot him an annoyed look, I don’t trust that look his got on his face at all. I need to change the playing field and prove him wrong.
After dinner I tried to find my room again in this huge and confusing castle, with its twists and turns, it’s easy to get lost in here. I walked through a strange looking corridor with some pictures of a happy family and kids on the walls, so I walked slowly through the corridor looking around. Then suddenly I heard Computer say. “Where do you think you’re going? Your room isn't this way.”
“Sorry, I got a little lost. This place is so huge and confusing, not quite what I’m used to. What is this place? This looks pretty old from the rest of the place.” Looking at the pictures in amazement, wondering who they are.
“This is a restricted area, no one comes here.” Boomed Computer in a demanding tone.
“Sorry about that I don’t know where I’m going.”
“No problem and please don’t come here again, it’s this way, near the dining room.” Said Computer in a soft tone. I followed his instructions to the word and until I got to my room safely.
I wake up the next morning, a bit confused, I thought that I was in my room back on Earth and strangely not so much. Slowly everything came back, realizing that I’m not on Earth anymore, I felt a little home sick. Missing the woman that had raised me, the one I know as my mom and my dad too. I slowly got out of bed and getting dressed and ready for the day. This is the day that I start my training and unlock my new...and let’s be honest scary powers.
Walking in a corridor, I noticed that it’s still dark. I looked at my phone and seeing it doesn’t work anymore, so I’m not actually sure what the time is, thinking it is still really early. I decided to take a look around and explore the castle on my own. Where am I? This doesn’t look the way it did last night. Everything looks very different in the morning on this planet. I came to a window with a curtains still closed and light is shining through. I opened it, and see that I’m in the same area Computer said was restricted.
“Computer? Are you there? I need help again, I’m in the restricted corridor again!” I asked knowingly that I did something wrong.
“I’m here...and what is wrong with you? I told you not to come here.” Answered Computer in an angry voice.
“Yeah…well I said I was sorry, and would you please cut me some slack. This is only my second day here. I don’t know where everything is yet. I need to learn where I’m supposed to be and where not.” I complained.
“You're a weird kid, you do know that right?” Said Computer.
“Tell me something I don’t know already.” Getting a sarcastic smile on my face.
“You’re forgiven this time. This doesn’t mean I’ll be so generous the next time. Isn’t this your first day of training?” Asked Computer.
