We walked into the Council court, to me it looked like a normal earth court house, but just bigger and more gothic looking. I followed my mom into what I thought was the conference room. One of the ministers rose to her feet, looking straight at us. “Everyone rise.”
My mom went to her chair, with me looking like an idiot that followed my mother around like a puppy! “You may be seated, let’s start from the beginning. Grimdall is back, and hot on my daughter’s heels. He disguised himself as one of the librarians and planted this book…” She showed them the Magic Control book. “…in the library for her to find. He knows her where-abouts, and we need to stop him!”
My mom is a strong woman, and gets right to the point, not taking any chances, which makes her a good queen. The whole council looked at me in a way that made me feel very uncomfortable.
“My queen, this girl beside you, is it your daughter?” One of the men asked staring at me.
“Yes it is, she has seen Grimdall in Tigguy at the library and when she took her first ride on her bike. And he’s after her and her powers.”
“How does he know who to look for, isn’t he looking for the forbidden child. We don’t believe that he is looking for your daughter, she is just a kid and she doesn’t even know what her powers are and how many she got, not to mention she doesn’t know how to use them.” Another one of the council members said.
“Mr Lockward, I can assure you she is the one he is been looking for. If you don’t believe me, analyse her yourself, then you’ll see she is the one.” My mom looked really serious.
Mr Lockward came up to me and took my hand and somehow, I don’t know why, but I felt connected to him as soon as he touched my hand. When he let go of my hand the connection broke. “I see, she is the one and more powerful than the last one. And the best is, she doesn’t know it yet.” He smiled at me and walked back to his seat.
“Any questions? No? Well then, I just had to tell that you Grimdall has returned and there is no holding back this time when we fight.” My mom took me by the hand and went back to the ship and surprisingly, my strength was back to normal.
On the way back to our castle I fell asleep, once again. This time with no dream to keep me company. I woke up on my own time, seeing that I’m in my room. “Welcome to the real world miss sleepy head, I didn’t think you would wake up again today.” That voice, it’s from that the one that really annoys me, Loki.
“What are you doing here? I thought you hated me from the beginning.”
“Yeah I know, but when your powers rose, I got scared to be honest. I thought that I needed to be nicer to you, so that you won’t kick my ass too much and I want to help you get stronger.” Loki looked like he meant every word and he actually looked sincere.
“Something doesn’t seem right, you’re nice to me. You think you’re better than me and you’re the one that wanted to kick my ass and you only gonna give me slack when I beat you in the tournament. Those were your exact words, remember?”
“I remember, but that was before I knew how strong you are and that freaked me out!”
“When was that?”
“That was when you just gotten your mini-computer. Nothing else indicated that you are that strong, I should have known that you were different, when you changed so fast. What surprises me is that you don’t know much about your powers.”
“What do you mean, I don’t know much about my powers? Loki, you just can’t keep that from me, I need to know.” I begged him.
“I don’t think that I should be the one to tell you about it.”
