"Whatever you say...princess."

"Shut up, you moron, and keep your eyes on the road!"

He laughed, "Okay, miss goody two shoes."

"I said shut up, you wannabe emo vampire."

"Prude"

"Man-whore"

"Know-it-all."

"Delinquent."

"Ooh, pulling out your vocabulary words now, huh Princess?"

"I swear to glob I am going to kill you."

"You're adorable."

"You're an imbecile."

He paused and his breathtaking smile reappeared. "Good to see that you're back to your regular self."

I couldn't help but smile too. "You too."

Then we pulled up into my driveway in silence. I moved to get out, but was confused when he did the same. "What're you doing?"

"I'm walking you to your door, princess. You know, using my manners."

I rolled my eyes. "Whatever, loser." And we started walking in silence.

When we got to my door, he was the first to break it.

"You know, I wasn't kidding about what I said. You're usually such a good girl. And it was nice to see you let go and be—"

"What? Naughty?" I smirked at him. I was definitely still a bit drunk.

He seemed taken aback, then laughed. "Yeah, I guess. More like...loose. You should let that happen more often. You know, let your hair down," we were almost to my door but we had stopped walking. "try doing something... daring."

I raised an eyebrow. "Like I said, don't act like you know me. I can be plenty daring."

He chuckled, a challenge flaring in his eyes. "Prove it, then."

So I did.

I don't if it was the alcohol, or the atmosphere, or how unfairly attractive he looked, but without thinking, I grabbed his face and pressed my lips against his.

He froze and gasped against my mouth.

I pulled back after a couple seconds and he was staring at me with wide eyes. His gaze drifted down to my parted lips and before I knew what was happening, we were kissing again.

This kiss was different from the first. That one was methodical, controlled. This was more wild and uninhibited. His mouth was moving against mine with an intensity that was missing last time. I felt all the blood rushing to my head and I felt dizzy as if I was in a dream.

He walked me backwards until my back was flush with the wall of my house, never breaking the kiss. I had to break away for one second to gasp in a breath of air, breathing out his name "Marshall..."
