I groggily opened my eyes and did a double take. Where am I?

And then I realized. I noticed his smell immediately.

Last night. I remembered me and Marshall talking but I didn't remember falling asleep on his bed. I turned my head to look at him.

I had to slap a hand over my mouth to keep from laughing. He was awkwardly sprawled out on his stomach, taking up 90 percent of the bed. The blanket was tangled in his legs, revealing his bare back. His head was turned so that I could see the drool at his mouth.

Gross, but at least he didn't wind up cuddling with me, like in every fan fiction I'd ever read.

I glanced at the clock and a wave of panic spreads over me. School. According to his clock, we were already 2 hours late.

But more importantly, my mother. She's probably freaking! What was I thinking? I should never have came here in the first place, much less allowed him to banter with me in his bed. I'm such an idiot.

I started trying to get up without waking him. Maybe I could leave without him noticing at all. But wait...that only happens in one night stands. And we definitely didn't sleep together, right? I made sure my clothes were on. They were. Obviously. I was going crazy.

Maybe I should just wake him. But I was too late.

"Good morning princess," he said in an impossibly beautiful raspy morning voice that sends a wave of heat to my core. He was looking at me with a smirk and my heart skipped a beat.

I couldn't do anything but verbally express my stress to him.  "We're late for school and my mom is probably freakingoutand–"

"Whoa there princess," he turned over to face me, putting a hand on my arm. I dully noted how calloused his fingers were. Probably because of his guitar playing. "Calm down, one school day and a slightly worried mom doesn't matter."

I was still panicking, "Yes. Yes, it does. To me at least." Before he could reply, I sat up and scrambled out of the bed to my phone. Dead. "Damnit."

"Don't get your panties in a bunch. We can have a skip day."

I gawked at him. "That's ridiculous."

"No, it's really not (Y/N). I do it all the time."

"Well I'm not like you!" I pouted.

For some reason he didn't reply, just stared at me. Then he threw his head back and laughed.

That's got to be one of the most beautiful laughs that exists in the world. I shook the thought from my mind. "W-why are you laughing at me?!"

He just shook his head. "You're adorable princess." Then he got up and walked away.

I started to get up and follow him, still flustered and panicking. "Where are you going? Don't ignore me."

He looked back at me and said, "I'm going to take a piss. You're free to come and watch if you're into that sort of thing."

My jaw dropped. I stopped and looked down in frustration and embarrassment, feeling my face flush.

I jumped when I felt the pressure of his fingers under my chin, lifting my face so that our eyes met. His expression was more serious now. "Calm down (Y/N). Take a deep breath. You're okay. I'm sorry that this is stressing you out, but it's not the end of the world, " his voice was soothing. "I'm gonna pee then we can just see where the day takes us. You can freshen up in my bathroom. You kinda stink."
