I had moved to the small town of Noblesville about six months ago, right before I turned 18 and by the time me and my family got everything settled down in the new town, I was a fresh faced 18-year old guy. In this small town in the State of Indiana, me and my family were odd-one's out among the American population as British citizens.

Myself and my family were originally from Scotland, Glasgow and had moved down South to London, in England and lived there a few years before moving from there finally to the States to Noblesville.

My father had got a job working with a Firm over there, that sold eco-friendly generators including wind turbines, and such. The Firm was actually based in Ireland, Dublin but had offices in America. Moving to America was a big thing, and we did up and leave the UK with everything we had. So here I was, a 18-year old British teenager in America and I had started at the town's High School, to finish the final year before moving onto the next stage of education.

We were able to buy a nice two-storey house, with four bedrooms and two bathrooms which believe me was a far superior improvement on our small tenement flat we had back both in London and Glasgow.

I wasn't much to look at, being only about 5'10 in height I was a big fella. Big chest, and build that most would consider good for a Football player to have. So being used to playing Soccer, I wasn't that bothered about getting into sports at the school. I had brown hair, and a thick heavy beard I constantly had to style, or shorten otherwise I would look like a hobo.

So with my parents pushing for me to attend my first day at a school that I was almost at the end of the final year, I attended. I had chosen to wear jeans, and a light blue shirt with my National Scotland Team Soccer hooded top, that I had brought over with me from the UK and had my Timberland boots and my shoulder bag with all the crap a student carries with them.

I chose to walk from my house to the school, as it was only a ten minute walk anyway. As I approached the school and saw the typical design, and such of High Schools from American movies I liked how it looked. There were crowds of people swarming towards the entrance, but the bell hadn't sounded yet for classes to begin, and everyone was sat around on benches and low-bearing walls outside of the school.

"I think I'm gonna like this place." I told myself in a whisper as I walked over to a free bench near a patch of grass and a flower bed, and sat down.

I put my bag down, and opened it to take out a bottle of Mountain Dew I bought on the way to school and took a few mouthfuls of the drink. I looked around, and saw that no one even recognised that I was a new student or certainly wasn't here six months earlier. My attention was brought back down to earth, when I heard a young girl nearby gasp aloud as she fell onto the pavement, probably tripped over her own feet.

She looked tanned, not a lot but more of a natural complexion. She had dark brown hair, but had also light blonde and even some dark red highlights in between. She was wearing blue denim overalls, with the buckles on the shoulder straps, and a matching blue belt around her waist for style I assumed. She was wearing a bright orange top beneath the overalls, and wore black work boots with white knee-high socks with blue and red loops around the tops of them.

It was then I saw her holdall split open due to the impact on the pavement, and her books and such spread out across the ground. I then saw that she hadn't tripped over her own feet, as I saw a leg still partially extended outwards behind her, someone had intentionally tripped her over. It was a blonde cheerleader kind of girl, with her blue and white plaid cheerleader outfit, holding one single book in her arms.

I saw no one attempt to help her, as the blonde cheerleader and practically everyone around was laughing as if this was a funny moment.

"Oops, sorry Riley. I didn't see you there, you must have not been looking where you were stepping." The blonde bitch said.
